I support repealing this tax as a federal tax, because the states can then tax as they see fit.  I am 100% for giving as many rights back to states to decide as possible.

I see giving states free reign as only further dividing the country even more with how the current voting system is setup. 

I'm no history buff but I see some parallels between the situation now and the civil war. Replace slavery with women's rights and the second amendment. It has to come to a head at some point. Although it's likely out of the scope of your comment.

Very few people are actually anti Second Amendment, most who say they are disagree with either a portion of it or the repeated SCOTUS rulings.  I have no issue with "gun control" as we have had gun control certainly since 1968, but am quite certain that my level of gun control would not be the same as that of others.

We started out concerned about wildlife conservation funding......and now we are bickering over Gun Control.   

This is why nothing ever gets done properly, and never makes any sense.  It's like doing a home improvement project with my wife.  "It's great that you found a good deal on screen doors, honey.....but in the end it's gonna cost 400.00 apiece to install them, and there will be at least 3 fights where nobody gets laid for a week, and we have to eat Vienna Sausage's for dinner".

When are you gonna learn?   No use in fighting the tide.  Just shut up and go with it.  I don't want to be harsh but you can't seem to grasp the concept that you are not running that household. 😂   Not even close.  Just consider yourself a hired hand that's lucky to get paid.  Even if your invoice is a week or two old and she hasn't paid it...😁
