That’s not surprising considering lead shot bans in places and lead weight restrictions in states in the Northeast.

Oh its a matter of time when it will be all over IMO. Stuff is going to get really expensive our outlawed. I was browsing at Wal Mart the other day and game loads for dove season were ten bucks plus. I about puked.

Just be sure to look both ways before you pluck them off the power lines with the FX. 😁

The thing is still doing just fine and doing what it does best. Killing! Food and garden and yard pests.

             So since this post,

Just thinking about it made it appear. I did the peeping tom deal to make sure it was a young one. Being picky at the moment. Shot a fat one a couple weeks ago that was a female gray carrying two fetuses for a fall litter. Was a bummer IMO. Pat was my spotter and with binoculars could see it was a younger one, thumbnail_IMG_20220716_135651823_HDR.jpg     Pulled the trigger and it was a confirmed kill and shot was perfect,

X rated confirm was a last winter/ spring male. Just right ,thumbnail_IMG_20220716_135938272_HDR.jpg

As much wild stuff you that you eat you're going to sprout fur or feathers one day😆

You have no idea!  Oh, that's right you do because you sure scarfed down the squirrel Aroura one day here at the house did you not?  HA!

So what happened to the squirrel? Let me share please :). There was a dusting in seasoned flour and a quick browning in goose fat. Removed the squirrel pieces and deglazed the skillet with some cranberry wine. Added some baby quartered onions from the garden and nestled in the squirrel,

thumbnail_IMG_20220718_113446591_HDR.jpg  Covered and simmered for half hour,

Then plated and art the whole darned thing. Hot dang!
