laker67 Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 Thank you for being kind enough to share Rick's book. It would make him happy. Btw, week 3 post-op on my new knee. Hopefully it will be a game changer for me next fall. Was the surgery a good call? I'm somewhere between "want to slit my throat" and "I can see the light at the end of the tunnel". Started driving yesterday. Freedom!!! Sandy grizwilson, JestersHK, FishnDave and 4 others 7

It’s a process and takes some time, but do what the doctor says and you’ll surely be way better off than before. JestersHK and laker67 2 John
laker67 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 @ness How long before you felt like you could feel like the knee was "normal"? It feels so heavy and clunky. My bend is over 100 degrees, but it hurts like heck.

laker67 Posted February 4, 2023 Author Posted February 4, 2023 @Foghorn I got a gym membership. Now 3 1/2 months post op. I climbed on this eliptical stepper thingy and in eight minutes destroyed my quads. I've been licking my wounds for nearly a week. Ugh!!! The stupidity!!! fshndoug and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
Foghorn Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 I know what you mean. I let my enthusiasm and my desire to still compete get the best of me . I thought I was going to need surgery on my right hip after tearing the labrum 5 years ago. It was giving me a lot of trouble so I scheduled a visit with an orthopedic surgeon. Two weeks before my appointment something popped in my right hip as I was bending over. Evidently some of the cartilage went back in place. At least that's what the Doctor figured. Stay with it only start a little slower? laker67 and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

It's a quick read, but I hope you enjoy it. He put his heart into these recollections. Also, the author's webpage is Outskirtspress.com/WhiteHatsLeavesandPterodactyls . In a day or three that site should include the podcast of his record brown. Steve Brigman a/k/a Trout Bum did a great job in the interview. Sandy I bought this book some time ago. Due to various reasons just sat down and read it last night. It hit a bit close to home for me. It is passed on to my wife Peggy, then our sons. I highly recommend the book, you can feel the heart coming through. Thank You for sharing. laker67, Foghorn, trythisonemv and 3 others 6 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
