You don't know how hard I am trying not to go all biologist over this statement 😉.

Now that I think about it, they'd be going north.  A long ways north.

Very True!

I always hate the commercials that have polar bears and penguins together🤔. Outside of a zoo they are world's apart in different hemispheres. Polar bears up north and penguins down south.

I had to come check this thread to see how I spelled PENGUIN.

Was playing Scrabble last night and tried to spell it with a Q ....... and then I got completely indignant when they tried to call me out on it !     🤔

Total brain skid!

I might be starting the slow gradual slip into senility 😂

I know that you guys here will keep a close eye on my BS, and be sure to call me out immediately if I start showing signs of similar ignorance.   I promise I'll thank you for it!  👍

One more request if you don't mind:.  If I have to be put in a nursing home, make sure it's the same one as Oneshot and Billethead so we can chase nurses and sneak off to sip whiskey and smoke cigarettes together.

P-E-N-Q-U-I-N........ It still looks like proper English to me.    Scary!

I see the inside of a nursing home every week.  No nurses worth chasing, 50% male.  No cigars or whisky either.  Food sucks.

My mom is in assisted living with dementia. Says the same thing about the food and like folks suffering that it's like a broken record skipping and skipping and we hear the same thing.  We have been to dinners there and are welcome to daily meals if we let them know ahead, we are coming.  I have had some of the food and it's not bad but would not want it every day. I try to take stuff from the garden once and awhile. The residents there are very fond of fried green tomatoes.

I was told the old folks there that are of sound mine and just there for assistance partake in a sip or two of wine and spirts.  I am in no hurry to get there but sounds like @fishinwrench is pushing me to look forward to ending up there🤪. I told Pat she must send me to a place like that when my mind goes south. Face it to the guys here our spouses outlive us guys. I tell all of you reading this make sure she puts me out to pasture if needed then you all can wrestle over all my vintage cast iron and my other treasures!

JD need to rethink your observation.  Lost a good longtime friend this past year to Huntingtons.  First, nurses are strictly off limits, that will get you restricted to your room and restraints, focus on other residents.  The ratio is 8-9 to 1 so odds are good.  Whisky, that is why you take your younger friends fishing now so they smuggle a supply.  Cigars? Do not know, but my buddy could shotgun a pack of cigarettes in about 15 minutes.  Just sayin that is my take.

During my online dating phase I was blown away (several times LITERALLY😉) by the number of nurses on those sites.

They are your safest bet when doing the online dating thing because they all have the same MO.   What they truly want is for a doctor to fall in love with them, and they are saving themselves for one...... so as long as you're not a doctor there's no worry of them getting overly serious and hanging on forever.

You can always tell which day that special doctor is making his rounds too, because she'll have a certain outfit picked out for that day. And hair and nail appointments are set accordingly. 😅   The best night for a date is the night immediately after Dr. SoandSo has failed to notice her. 👍

As a resident your options may be more limited?
