196champ Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I figured i would share my trip to get the winter fishing blood pumping! Visited Green Bay last week for a few days, duck hunt for Old Squaws one day and Smallmouth the next. We ended up doing very well on both outings, most fish came on a tube, small swim bait and an A rig. Great time as always and they about rip the rod out of your hand with the rig. Ended up with 28.5lb for our best 5 - 6.21lb big bass and 10+ over the 5lb mark. Unbelievable fishery and hope to get back up there this spring/summer nomolites, BilletHead, Carl W and 16 others 19
Johnsfolly Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 @196champ congrats on catching some toads! Looks like a great time. Any photos of the long tailed ducks?
Quillback Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Man, they grow them big up there. One of these days I am going to take a trip and head that way. Johnsfolly and bfishn 2

Yeah, I rarely pursue bass, but I could enjoy the heck out of that. Old dog 417, Johnsfolly and Quillback 3 I can't dance like I used to.

196champ Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 We usually just stay at the Super 8 or the Americinn in Sturgeon Bay. There are a lot better places to stay than that, they are just the cheapest option. Great place to bring the family as well, each town on the peninsula has plenty of entertainment Johnsfolly and DavidB 2
Smithvillesteve Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Looks like the water is not too rough and looks like you are relatively close to shore. I've heard it can get really bad there. You cant even fish. Catching 5 to 6 lb smallies would be unbelievable fun. Congrats on two days of excellent hunting and fishing.
