We used to catch lots of jacks while fishing the oil rigs off the Texas coast. They are probably the hardest fighting fish out there as they turn broadside and don't give up easily. I would always give the rod to the newbie on the boat when one was hooked. After a couple of jacks on a hot still day in Texas they were pretty much done for the day.😀

I don’t really have a life list like you guys but a jack is one I would really like to catch.  I can’t believe as much time I’ve spent saltwater fishing I haven’t caught one yet. Others have on the same trips but I haven’t.  I’ll get one sometime.  Thx, @Johnsfolly!!    You had a good year.

Did I post enough photos😁

Yes, and I'm grateful to see them. Excellent fishing.  So many cool species of fish we don't get to see.  Thanks for sharing.

Pound for pound they are one of the hardest fighting fish out there.  I watched a Zona show a few years ago where he was catching them on top waters fishing a jetty.  They would explode on the TW and fight like crazy.

Got some Jack fans here! :)

I caught some Horse Eye Jacks in Puerto Rico....not sure I have any pics.

Did catch a nice Pacific Jack Crevalle (or Crevalle Jack?  I've seen it both ways.)  in Cabo San Lucas:

And on a trip with my wife and kids, we caught a few off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica:

Very strong fighters...

As mentioned above, they will turn sideways, and its surprisingly difficult to get them to come up!
