I head to the nearest In-N-Out for a double double animal style first thing whenever I fly out there. We've got a Shake shack here. Tried it and it wasn't bad, but there are probably 50 or more fast-food burger joints closer. I had In-N-Out many years ago in San Diego, and remember it was pretty good. Not sure what I'd think now as my palette is so much more sophisticated Gavin 1 John
ColdWaterFshr Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I had the In-N-Out burger a few months ago. 2nd or 3rd time having it. Nothing special. Freddy's is probably a little better. I think that by far the best burger from a chain is Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Gavin 1

They do have good fries but the burgers are ehhhh. Cute and tasty but there are plenty of places in town for something better. The only top shelf burgers in SGF are at my house. Terrierman 1
Ketchup Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Guys, i just got done eating the best burger i have ever shoved in my throat. Small place in Republic called RepMo burger Co. The fries were just as tasty. If you truly want a great burger, stop buy. Their FB page has info. I hear their tacos and shakes are the bomb too. Daryk Campbell Sr and Quillback 2 TinBoats BassClub. Normally just a hamburger patty, bun, onion, tomato, pickles, mustard and ketchup. Sometimes cheese. B29 does a great mushroom swiss burger which is as cute as it gets for me.
Seth Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I don't eat a lot of fast food burgers, but I've always preferred ones that use sourdough bread such as the Hardees Frisco burger or Sourdough Jack from Jack in the Box. bfishn 1
DADAKOTA Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Went to 5-Guys in Lees Summit several years ago. Nothing but a complete grease pit. Burger was tasteless and the fries were limp, but at least they were cold. Never have eaten there again. I make way better burgers at home on the grill, the blackstone, or even in a skillet. Double fried french fries are awesome as well. Quillback and Seth 2
Seth Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Hard to beat a simple double smash burger with American cheese on a blackstone or cast iron IMO. nomolites, Quillback and DADAKOTA 2 1
