Na it will be ok if you admit you were wrong and it was a mistake you are forgiven. Probably only works once though. Don't ask me how I know this. It really was a mistake, really it was. 😉 Daryk Campbell Sr, nomolites, tjm and 1 other 1 3 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Don't ask me how I know this. It really was a mistake, really it was. 😉 That doesn’t always work. I watched my dad get a ticket for fishing without a license and it was very obvious that it was an honest mistake. But the MDC has some bad apples too. Even after the guy wrote the ticket he drove to the other side of the lake to make sure he didn’t fish anymore. He even tried to follow us as we left but he couldn’t keep up.
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 I'd almost risk it.....just to increase the odds of actually being able to witness an MDC agent get out of his truck. 🙄 fshndoug, Greasy B, Ryan Miloshewski and 4 others 1 6
dblades Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Fishing at Rolly Blunks one spring for white bass, when I was a kid, my Dad told the Agent "If you want to see my license, wade on out here to where I'm fishing." Hawg and BilletHead 1 1
Gavin Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Paying to hunt or fish in MO as a resident is a sore spot for me. Hunting & fishing licenses should be FREE for MO residents IMO. MDC does not need that money. They make plenty from the 1/8th cent sales tax and that revenue stream goes up every year. OOS'ers should pay through the nose. Whatever their state charges a MO resident to hunt or fish in their home state. Reciprocity seem fair.

That does seem fair. 👍 I don't mind paying for resident fishing/hunting permits near as bad as I hate paying sales tax on used cars/trucks/boats. That's a rip-off of the highest order. nomolites and Gavin 2

How did that work out for him? I once saw a Mexican dude, that allegedly couldn't understand English, just wade off downstream after an agent called out to him and waved him over to the bank. The agent just stood there for a bit, then went to go check someone else. I guess chasing him down wasn't an option.

I have never understood that attitude. Whether toward an MDC Agent or anothe LE Officer. Most agents I know would have waded out and at that point EVERY thing had better be legal. There is zero benefit to being a jerk, and much to be gained by simply being polite. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
