I love my boat, but I am constantly on the lookout for a small rig like what you used to have. Boats a tool like anything and there are many times when I wish I had that smaller boat.

Since I wasn’t a river tourney guy, I never needed the speeds of a larger outboard. I prefer the very nimble response of a tiller handle and the smaller boat was great if you ever got stuck on a rock…you could dislodge the boat by yourself. Trailering  was also much easier. I could adjust a smaller boat from the side or end without re-trailering the boat for a slight misalignment during trailering. I felt like I could go slower speeds in tricky areas than a larger boat. I was able to get into smaller streams in general. Also less garage space taken.

Running on plane at lower speeds is a big reason I want one. I'd probably start fishing the Meramec again if I had a small rig that did that.

I picked up a sweetheart motor that is perfect for a jet pump mod.   Interested?

All I truly wanted was the lower unit.

How many people do you know that actually wear a life jacket when running their boat?

Every single person that I have fished with the last 35 years.

You step foot in my Gambler you will wear a life jacket or you can get out of the boat and stay at the ramp. Oh and I wear a kill switch.

Oh don't worry.  After they witness you fighting that steering wheel to keep the sumbitch going in a straight line.....they'll BEG to get out !    😂

Dang, has it been that long since we fished together?

Mine doesn't go on unless things start feeling sketchy.    I don't drive like a bat out of hell....like everyone else seems to wanna do.   I've lost enough hats, and blown enough powerheads already.   I'm out there to fish, not race.

We haven’t ever fished on the lake together. Guess I’m not cool enough for an invite.

😁 I just love you !!!

I bet there isn't 20 hours on it.   Original gear lube wasn't even dirty, and the original spark plugs aren't even noticably pitted.    Gonna refresh the water pump, fuel pump diaphragm, and hoses....cuz they are a little stiff and dry, and sell her with a 5year warranty.

The thing should be in the outboard hall of fame !    She'll still be running strong when the POS brand-new 4-stroke bought yesterday......is in a landfill. 👍
