fishinwrench
130k ? I'll just say this....... No financial institution in the land would approve that loan without a 70k down payment, and a squeaky clean credit history. 😉
Quillback
I believe they won the boat in a tourney. Or they won another boat and traded it for that Ranger. But they are now convicted felons and get to deal with the consequences.
vernon
The report I saw said the boat was valued at 100K but still........ The worst part is having to answer Bubba when he asks "So whatcha in for?" magicwormman 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
DADAKOTA
Not a harsh enough sentence IMO. Should face a permanent tourney ban. Also a permanent ban on hunting/fishing.
Dewayne French
The worst part of this is we all have to answer to this, the general public who have no idea about tournament fishing. It puts a bad light on us all even the good guys have to pay the price.

tjm
I never would have guessed that cheating in a fishing contest was a felony. Is that true in most states? Does it apply to other contests like Little League ball?

Bill Babler
I don’t think there is a statute for derby cheating I believe it was fraud. They were banned from competing in tournaments for life and I believe they said 5 years on hunting or fishing which is the maximum penalty. They had won a very high percentage of tournaments they fished and there were flags that got them caught. It was highly suspended that this was not the first time they had cheated. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
