Judge those who raised them, if you must. Given our age, that means judging our own children. If what they have done is unacceptable, whose fault would that be? While I mostly agree with this, remember that schools nowadays have become way too woke and think it’s their responsibility to raise our children thru their own indoctrination. bfishn Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Spent the last couple days with about 25 old (literally) schoolmates. Stories were told and confessions were made. There's no doubt some of the stuff we pulled and skated with would land a kid in jail today. And if this were a poll, put me down for liking boobies. Remember Hillary’s book…”It takes a Village”? I think we are looking at the same thing, but from different points of view. Were we able to discuss face to face, I suspect we would agree on many things. On a message board, subtleties and nuance disappear. That being said, schools have only 5 days a week, 7 periods per day, 9 of 12 months per year in which to teach whatever they teach. Compared to home (whatever that may be) schools have a minority of time to influence. What we see in the world is what someone raised them to be. Terrierman, nomolites and Daryk Campbell Sr 3
tjm Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Add in bus time and deduct sleep time and we will find schools have a big percentage of the child's time during 2/3 of every year. Oh and add in all hours of assigned homework to the school's influence time. Indoctrination by professional teachers is also likely to be more effective than that done by untrained amateur parents stumbling their way through raising kids with no previous experience. Mitch f 1

Not really, in my family there’s a kid raised in a church by devote Christian parents. They raised him right. The kids grew up as a boy and has decided that he’s trans. He’s just one of the many that this is happening to. My youngest daughter told her kindergarten teacher she liked going to church and believed in God. They told her she can’t discuss that at school because of school board rules. . But there is trans group in the high school we are in. Can you please explain this to me? Your kid can talk about religion all they want but their teacher can't proselytize. How up-in-arms would you be if an Islamic teacher did that? Or a Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, etc?

Both LDS and JW are Christians, just ask them. Your post would make more sense if you used Islamic and Jewish, they are both Semites. Ketchup 1
