NU TECH JIGS

Phil, I heard a rumor you were going to be acquiring the old inventory, the molds and equipment to make the Nu Tech that Bo built. I love these jigs and am needing to purchase replacements as my inventory is dwindling. I do not want to find another jig that I can tolerate, these are the best jig made in my opinion, my hook to boat rate is far better than other brands. I cannot locate them anywhere and I need to get some.

Totally agree with this. Bought up a bunch of his stuff soon after he passed but would certainly like to backfill some specific needs.

His weedless heads are the best I've ever used and I don't think that there's too many that I haven't tried.

His crappie jig head is so good and for so many purposes.

And unless you wrap the line of one of his jig heads around a nail on a dock (did that yesterday) they're virtually impossible to lose due to a hangup.

Picasso makes tungsten jig with a very similar weed guard as in the Nu Tech. 
 

Personally I think they’re better. Very live skirt with a variety of fish catching colors and extremely small profile due to the tungsten head.   Very good hook 

As with all tungsten it’s hard to keep paint on the head.  These have become my go to however. 

The weed guards, can do some damage to the exterior of the fishes mouth, very similar to the Nu Tech. 

Hard as heck to hang up however if that’s the main criteria y’all are using for how good a jig is. 

I still have a couple hundred Pig Stickers that I’m fond of too.

I do like the Picasso heads you’re talking about, and the weedguards are separated at the base like Bo’s creation.  But I think the Picasso titanium wire weed guard pieces are a tad too wimpy for my taste. But the jig itself works well.

Have a good stash of NuTech jigs and I throw them from time to time.

Jewel has just come out with a "Pee-Wee" football jig.  It's basically a small profile jig, but comes in 1/2 and 5/8 sizes.  I had to pick a few up, have not tried them yet.  Fiber weedguard with a sickle style hook.

My biggest like is the hook is always in the top of the jaw in bone with the Nu tech and they are hard to lose. I like to hammer a hook set when jig fishing and when using the Nu tech I have a much better landing rate than with other jigs. I will look into those Picasso that Bill suggested but I really hope Phil gets these and the rumor is true

I think LedgeRock might have went out of business. Their building is for sale, unless they moved  

I’ve tried my best to like their soft plastics, and they look fantastic.  Just don’t have very good results with them.  

Bill Beck taught me the pressure set years ago and I’ve never jerked on a jig since. 
This method allows you to use lighter line and allows the jig to swim much more freely. 

I do use heaver line and a stiffer rod when dragging a big football jig deep but 90% of my jig fishing is done with 10-12-14 carbon line.  
Jigs, 3/16-5/16-3/8-1/2-5/8.

Just saw this....  Bill B. got me in touch with one of the partners who I visited with a couple of months ago.  He had the inventory left by Bo - 6 figures worth.  He wasn't sure what he was going to do with it so he wasn't necessarily offering it to me... and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it, although he said I could double my money pretty easy.

As far as I know he's still sitting on them.
