No not in the way you are thinking right now. Fly tying crap! I'm willing to bet that my fly tying stash will beat yours...for instance, I have gallon ziplocs full of black-bear hair, elk hair, deer hair (mostly blacktail), assorted duck feathers (a lot of mallard, but pintail, teal and wigeon as well), some golden retriever fur, springer fur, cat fur, raccoon hair. I did finally ditch the bag of poodle trimmings, when I was in the Polly Rosborough phase, But then I also have a lot of foam in varying thicknesses and colors, several colors of burlap, a 10-gallon tote of skeins of yarn, and a lot of stuff I've scavenged or been given over the years. Then there is the supply of hackle, ringneck and golden pheasant skins and tails and a bunch of miscellaneous material. I've also been blessed by folks who felt I didn't have enough: I was given a WWII fly tying kit that was used in rehab for wounded service people-- and a fishing buddy who ran across a garage sale where the relatives were selling off the tying gear belonging to a deceased relative. He bought the lot and then gave it to me. And I had a couple of friends who were factory reps for hook companies; I was given their samples when they were tired of carrying them. The WWII kit came with a wealth of Partridge hooks... And the worst part is that I still tend to buy in bulk if possible, hence the piles and spools of chenille, not to mention the dozens of spools of Nymo thread (again with the Polly Rosborough reference) and other threads. And yet, when I hit the stores next week, I'm going to be looking for things that I "need". The yarn barn my wife wants to visit next week will be tempting me as will a stop at Hobby Lobby... and if I find the anti-static brush that a guy from Kansas has been writing about--the pix of the streamers he ties from it are spectacular!-- I'll definitely be adding at least one to the cart. I may need help... Daryk Campbell Sr, nomolites and BilletHead 1

kjackson
Of course there was a bunch of very old feathers, some chenille, and a lot of material that pretty much fell apart when touched. However, included was a Thompson A vise, which I still use occasionally, some scissors and a bodkin. It was in a hard black case that was better organized than what I am doing now. I really need to thin the herd. tjm, Daryk Campbell Sr and ness 2
