We never hunted the Doves, they were the bird of peace according to my Uncle that killed everything else. Peace my rear, those little feathered rockets can sometimes get the best of a good wing shot if they are not on. BilletHead
Speaking of being on can mean two things. Being on the proverbial "X" and hitting birds well. We had the best of both this morning. I literally loved having the best wing woman with me today. When I had my 15 she had 12 and I watched her finish up. I am really blessed. 🥰 ness, Johnsfolly, Gavin and 6 others 9 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Devan S.
Neighbor down the road blast em like crazy....think they do the cut sunflowers or something....I have power lines zig zagging the farm and several ponds.....boy they really load up the lines over the pond about 2 minutes after neighbor's crew pops off a dozen shots. Haven't seen or heard any shots this year. Have thought about busting 5 or 6 just for some poppers just haven't yet.....

BilletHead
I'll add another picture of my Wing woman when she was just a my Wing girl. She was just 18 in this picture. Right around a month after we got married. I was 19. I told her a few minutes ago you have come a long way baby. Circa September 1977. Good grief.😆 Quillback, bfishn, ness and 5 others 7 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" fishinwrench
You're both pretty darn lucky 👍 I was a wicked hunter/fisher when I was 19.....but aside from that I was basically worthless. I wasn't fit for marriage, or being a parent of any sort until I was in my 30's Boy, if you think I'm a POS SMARTASS now....you shoulda known me then. 😔 BilletHead and nomolites
ollie
Talked with a guy who hunted at Talbot conservation area and said it was a mad house on opening day. Said they got there about a couple hours early and by sunup they had a dozen people only like 25 yards away from them and people kept coming into the field. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. At least where they were at.
