Does anyone fish anymore? I always read through the fishing reports while I'm 200 miles away just wishing I was part of the reporting. Not much activity for awhile around here..... Just wanted to make sure everyone one is alive and well.

I went yesterday morning at 6:30 to my usual far back in the coves.  Didn’t catch anything for 4 hours.   Then started fishing lay downs and caught 2 dinks.   Called it quits at 5 hours with my tail between my legs.   I’m going trout fishing here shortly.   Hopefully they haven’t been talking to those bass.  😆

Forum has really slowed down since Bill doesn’t post anymore.

A couple bad apples ruin the fun for a lot of us. I am hoping it picks back up again. That way I can at least hear a fish story or two, and just be jealous that someone is catching them whenever I cannot....

I don't get to go as much as some, and I try to report when I do.   It has almost become taboo to report unless you are doing the same as everyone else, and catching mediocre fish that everyone can catch.  I would love for the info to be shared again.

I agree.  The whole forum actually.

Pretty slow is right. I think it is the time of the year multi hobby people are starting to do other things. Late winter and early spring the reports will be coming in.

Some folks got weary of relaying hard-learned intel to drive-by's who never reciprocated or even bothered to join the forum. They just wanted free help for their next tournament, while others wanted to challenge the OP (Bill not withstanding) regarding their reports.

I'm just an old grump according to some, but I can promise you this ... the quickest way to lose someone's free help is to challenge them on what they are trying to tell you. Translation: Don't ask one of the best guides to ever fish Table Rock how to catch fish and then say they're lying when they lay it out for you down to the precise lure, depth and presentation. With pics, even.

The real truth is that some folks just suck at fishing. Period. But rather than own that and try to learn something, they dispute the source of their intel. And that's a forum killer. No one is going to keep spending their own time, money and talent to be undercut by some lazy-butt who wants the world laid at their feet.

If I ever get out again I'd love to post a report.
