Terrierman Posted May 18 Posted May 18 In all my 73 years I swear there are more June bugs this year than I've ever seen. We were driving home from Nevada the other night and it sounded like little small grenades constantly hitting the car. You could see them in the headlights. One place it almost looked like it was snowing there were so many of them. I just dropped about 30 out of an empty dog food bowl up at the shop. There's another 50 or more on the walls and floor. I'd bet the catfish would bite on one. It's crazy. dpitt, Flysmallie, Greasy B and 4 others 7
Quillback Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Have not seen one here so far this year. That would be no fun if riding a motorcycle. Daryk Campbell Sr and dpitt 2
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I've only seen one this year. I remember making "the" joke. Strange usually we have many by now. snagged in outlet 3 and BilletHead 2 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Dutch Posted May 18 Posted May 18 We used to have a bunch until 3 of us treated our yards with Milky Spore disease. Now not many come around. nomolites and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
fishinwrench Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I have a brown lizard that hangs out in my shop. He was parading around the other day with a fat June bug in his mouth. He was proud and wanted everyone to see it 👍😅 snagged in outlet 3, Daryk Campbell Sr and Terrierman 2 1
jdmidwest Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Are they June bugs or Japanese beetles? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
tjm Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I haven't sen a June bug in years. and even back in the '50s never in the numbers that you describe. Must be some crop that encourages them. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Those Japs may or may not show each year but the June bugs always do.
