I loved the Jan. 24 One Cast. "It's sleeting, we've had 3 or 4 inches of snow, the wind is blowing, I can't see. I'm the only one on the lake believe it or not."  Kudos for getting out there. The white bite was good.

If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him to fish he will be in your spot next time you go.

Thanks Griz!

Sorry @Flysmallie the forecast high of 24 on Saturday does not bode well for me to wade fish, let alone bring the boat.  If I would smarten up should just stay here and put wood in the stove.  Sorry, maybe next time.

I don't blame you! I was going to go today but I think I will just hide in the house, again.

Might sneak down there Saturday and see if I can at least break into the kitchen. Looks like there will be some good eats.

Weather - looks like COLD Saturday morning.  But no snow.

I did real good this morning on a white jig.  Going back out this evening... got the lake to myself.

Do you think we could see a decent shad kill by the weekend? I figure some will die but wasn’t sure how long it takes for them to get deep enough to come through the turbines. Your recent one casts seem to be a good indicator that they have already seen some shad.

Hard to say when they see them... but they have for sure.  They're very aggressive on white right now.  I don't throw jerk baits but I think the big fish would eat them right now.

Ronnie ya come on down. At least a couple of us will have our vices there and passing time doing some tying. If you do I might have something for you.

One of these years you guys will schedule this on a pretty weekend with shirtsleeve weather and I'll show up, kept thinking this would be the year with the hot winter we've had until now. But then someone ordered in this cold white stuff and negative numbers.
