I just got a small order of a few colors. Peach, sculpin and olive variations always seem to work for me.

There is a true story I was part of, that played out similar to this while at Boy Scout Camp. I was a teenager and had to drive to camp late. I picked up a friend of mine who was on a different kind of trip. ( I found this out just a handful of years ago.) Whippoorwill doing its thing my buddy starts yelling at it. Screaming at the top of his lungs, "SHUT UP BIRRRRDDD!!!!" "SHUT UUUUUPPPP!!!" People spaced out camping around us had random voices from all around the dark yelling at him to shut up. Quite funny actually. Well the next day the whole camp was pretty upset with the guy yelling at the bird all night. Even with all the noise that persistent bird did not shut up.

I seem to have the same issue. Seems Jim Croce mentioned that in Time In A Bottle.

Many high schools now have fishing teams. I was impressed to see our high school with a fishing team in the Christmas parade last night. We are a few hours from the lakes.

I was looking into that a few years ago. It did not have good reviews. Seems like it would be a good product but people agreed often it had too much flex.

I have lost many nights sleep due to whip poor wills. I try not to hold grudges against wildlife especially when I'm in their territory. I try not to.

I have noticed for quite a while now we have been ad free other than Lilley's offerings. I believe we all understand this forum and site is not free. We have discussed membership dues, etc but it wasn't ever settled. How about buying something small ( a jig or few) or large (Nice Flyrod) from Lilley's for yourself or friend, family members, or forum member for the holidays. My order will be going in today as I need a couple new hats. I'm gonna put OAF somewhere on my order so they know it was generated from the forum. Just something ice thought about for a while, and good intentions are worthless without action.

While it's a long video, and took a while to get to the real issue, he was spot on with so many issues in society. Wrench, you have mentioned the same issues many times just with different words and without the drawings. You are right, but I have tons of phone wires, and electronics that will never be needed. Because I remember the costs then, I'm reluctant to throw them away. So why not use them for other uses. It's fun to figure out how to use things alternatively anyhow. Granted it almost always comes down to doing it right the first time, but it's just fun to tinker.

I like the eyes on the goat. Reminds me of playing marbles. I never learned how to play the real way. We had a made up game we played in a schoolyard ditch. It got really serious too.

Good point. Maybe use the enamel coated wire from a transformer.

This idea came from a gentleman named James Cordova from a Facebook group I'm in. I asked his permission before posting these screenshots. Pretty good idea. Strip old phone wire for the copper wire inside. You could even use the plastic insulator for added colors.

Doesn't even sound like fishing, the way you described. I have never got the interest in tournaments, watching or fishing them. This gives me even far less interest. I kinda hope this is similar to a fuse on a firecracker. Once the newness of this type of fishing wears off maybe it will all explode and interest will quickly fade. The game will go back to its roots. In order to fish tournaments you have to use internal skills, and do it for pride, not dollars.

So, I heard on Pandora Radio that there will be a 1 day only showing of The Last Waltz at theaters on Nov 5 for the 45th anniversary. A quick Google search came up with AMC Theaters. I remembered this post, thought I would share the info.
