  1. Have that book as part of a collection. Interesting read with phonetic interpretation of local speech. Bo’whoop....
  2. Is your question regarding the specific combination or jig with trailer in general if the water is colder (59 and less) that specific combination is on one of my rods. Above 60, I’ll use other trailers too. If the sun is shining, I’m on it.

    What's Cooking?

Prime filet, 2” to 3”. Most others, less than. Lower quality cuts and grade, 3/4”
  4. Go to a picnic table. from BSSP website: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on beaches, parking areas and off-road-vehicle areas in all state parks and historic sites.
  5. Anything in the beretta family will work. Benelli, franchi, stoeger, beretta all have good options, great barrels and interchangeable chokes amongst the current family. I have a rep from each 😀 for light stuff, wing shooting and clays, an OU with ejectors is tough to beat. If u get a gun for steel, the forcing cones tend to be more favorable than an older or off brand models. Short cones don’t like the faster loads of today. Makes ammo harder to readily find that patterns well.
  6. You seem to be a visual learner. Tune into the history channel. Maybe the footage they are showing will help. The episode on the pentagon had a ton of footage, air traffic control recordings and navy pilot communications. considering the other events of the day I’m at a loss why this one has skepticism.
  7. Had a similar problem with 360. Added a power switch and isolated all graphs/accy to that circuit. a lot of electronics are constant draw. I’m betting there is a blurb in the manual about the need to isolate.
  8. As a group on an umbrella rig. Individually on an under spin.... in cold water. in place of a skirt on a buzz bait. Casts way better.
  9. Based on inquiring, I’d advise to pick another ramp. The ramp is a minor issue compared to navigating the shallows.
  10. You shouldn’t have to pull it. Flashlight and a standard screwdriver are all you need.
  11. On the back of the tach there is a dial to select poles ( I think it’s poles). The contacts that it makes can get flaky over time. If you note where it is set, rotate to stop one way to its stop, then the other to it’s stop, then back to where it was set it should refresh the connection.
  12. IMO the biggest advantage is how the finesse rigs fall with the lead pushed further down the shank. They are the best on rocky stuff and don’t tend to wedge like a conventional jig. Gear wise, I use the same stuff I would for a 1/2 oz jig. It’s still a jig and needs a hook set to get through. I pitch them a lot
  13. Slightly different but..... I have an older POLARIS ranger. Would occasionally run like crap, especially when throttled up. Found a crack in the pickup tube. Replaced and good to go again. just a thought as you mentioned the fuel level making a difference
  14. As a country we are on pace to ensure we don’t have history to be seen. The Roman coliseum had horrible acts occur yet it’s one of the top visited sites on earth.
  15. Banded water snake?
  16. With the slime and so many fish on beds and cruising, my son and I did a little experiment. we put a small willow leaf on a swivel and an owner screw lock. Fought it into the tail of a z-man trd and fitted onto a light (less than 1/16?) head. He caught zero on a “normal” ned and umpteen on what we are calling a spinnerbutt. That light lazy thing got a lot of action. I’m sure it’s on here somewhere else, just a thought for you Vernon.
  17. Doesn’t based on this forum. A college degree in a science ( not an art) is a ticket to pay and vacation portability between employers, in a field, for anyone with some initiative. personal wiring and being in a job that somewhat aligns with passion is more important than paperwork. The paperwork gets more doors open.
  18. The craziness of the B is unmatched. that said, the newer stuff ain’t too shabby and certainly more durable
  19. Bagley’s. B2 and B3. Bluegill patterns are my favorite, especially the brass eyed old muted patterns.
  20. The beretta outlander is very soft shooting. Light target loads in a 12 kick less than any of my 20s. price point is fair for a good gun. Steer clear of inertia drives if you’re avoiding kick.
  21. Rear gear ratio isn’t what it used to be with all the extra gears in the transmission. The final ratios are relative. Fishing boats are no big deal for current gen 1/2ton 4x4 trucks. Press the tow haul switch and shifts firm, points change and engine braking kicks in.
  22. Ideally, chocolate milk with courtesy docks inaccessible and floaters everywhere
  23. Wrench I get your shorter flatter fishing preference. maybe not quite as short but certainly not the current battleship direction of today. my personal favorite was a 2003 zx200 skeeter with the 200hpdi Yamaha. I had 4 different versions of that 19’ platform and that one I wish I still had. Ran well, could trim to run however without the bow falling, turned like it was on rails, take off from anywhere on the trim cylinders and got good economy. Maneuvering around and behind docks was easy enough, fished flat so stumps on Truman weren’t too bad. Bow didn’t drift bad in a cross wind. Well thought out and built boat.
  24. I won’t argue details here so I’ll add. Overflowing parking lots with guys not practicing social distancing is a problem none of us want a govt reaction to. SD in obvious spacing and guys clearly not from the same household because they drove separately.... saw both at Stockton Saturday. I love the competition of tournaments. No way can I advocate to allow them if it risks lake access. Michigan banned the use of powered boats because of this scenario. the events being held are truly pocket change. Certainly not a financial win. Find a way to shut down the groups in the parking lot and let’s look at it. Govt telling me what to do sucks. It’s also subject to penalties... stopping the spread of this is what we need to do so we can get back to what we enjoy doing. It’s about helping everybody. not appease govt. Govt is involved because we won’t without their influence. Your post and the “regatta “ statement supports that....
  25. It might be obvious and,,,, the hammer trick is best done with a dead blow ideally with a soft face. blackening with a marker before fitting and closing is telling too. A light tap on marked surface shows what needs work before spraining hinges. I haven’t tried the rtv before in mods but probably will now. Good tip for duplicating.
