  1. We got some much needed rain the last couple of days so more rivers are floatable, leaves are beautiful good time to go......
  2. Thanks @gotmuddy will wait and see as it get closer, will connect with @Phil Lilley and @WoundedOnesee how many we have, could probably get a good deal with Miles or up at Rim Shoals during the week that time of year.
  3. I can probably make it Wednesday night to Friday morning, can bring a sleeping bag so I don't trash out a bed for the guys coming Friday night. If that works? Can also make different lodging arrangements if it does not. @WoundedOneand I plan on fishing Thursday, I will have to be heading north Friday by 11 am, will wave at DJ and crew on the highway.
  4. May be time to change the channel? Decent buck has been helping me out pulling my tomato plants, one less chore as I prepare for gun season.
  5. I think I recall you sharing this advice with me in the past.... unfortunately I am senile you may have to prod me again🤪
  6. I take partial responsibility, trout trips, talk of hybrids, white bass and crappie seem to distract Ham from his task at hand....sorry😂
  7. Have a couple of pair, they work great as long as you are mostly in the water....much time in the yak or canoe swamp feet bad, mostly use a chaco water shoe and fight the rocks. If lots of walking, neoprene socks with wading boots lots more support, but again swamp feet if in canoe long.
  8. on my river boat, tiller steering, went to an Ulterra, can deploy, operate from the rear, never leave my seat, I think the foot pedal is on board somewhere would have to search if needed. Love it BUT takes 2 batteries.
  9. picture did not upload
  10. Well friends, hate to share this as I have only shared with @Johnsfollyfor his research, but there are yellow bass in Table Rock also: This is from Alan Reed MDC: On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 12:11:38 PM CST, Alan Reed <alan.reed@mdc.mo.gov> wrote: Ok Les. I just talked to the Fisheries biologist for Table Rock He said the came from Beaver Lake and are found from Eagle Rock to Roaring River. He got the report about the same time of your photo last year. Alan Hopefully no one identifies the back ground of the picture.....
  11. @laker67read my post under Norfork Tailwater, on 9/14, think you may enjoy Ladybear's frustration with me.......😁
  12. Always struck me as a commando type guy.....zippers too brutal for me
  13. Received my copy yesterday, finished last night. Enjoyed it very much. As I did not know Rick, feel certain we have met, as many he mentioned I consider friends and acquaintances. So many big trout. I am in awe.
  14. @fishinwrenchmail box????
  15. I am very poor at fish ID, Ham examined the picture on my phone so I take his word for it, unless @Johnsfollymakes a different judgement. Sorry as I have stated before, not much of a clicker or picture, just a simple fisher
  16. above Jenkins Creek
  17. No ignorance except unasked questions. She was casting across riffle, keeping line taunt, let it swing until tight below then slowly short strip in, often with pause, repeat. rarely use indicators, but am addicted to double rigs, hopper midge. Hope this helps.
  18. Keith as long as you are not in a hurry to get picked up, it may be a month or so I will get them for a buddy. Made my shoulders ache just seeing the pictures. Will PM you. les
  19. We fished Ackerman yesterday 9/14/22, for me started slow, picked up a few drifting a scud w/o indicator, guy down stream was hammering them on something. Ladybear was up stream, doing well, we had a double going and she yelled bring the net.....apparently "its in the truck" was not the answer she was looking for.... Great day, as most of you know I am not a clicker or picture guy but did get a couple. She was drifting a olive woolybuger that I later smartened up and switched to, sure she had more than you could count on fingers and toes.
  20. Prayers from Lady Bear and I.
  21. See we lost another fishing community legend: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/baxterbulletin/name/nina-wood-obituary?id=36321568
