  1. Gave Pomme a go yesterday for crappie. Due to the temps did not get on the water until 1100. Water temp 51, lake down a bit, 837.8. Had a report from a friend (who owns a tackle store) they were biting baits 8-25 FOW near structure. Think he is selling lures, I lost plenty. The bite is lite, but only 3 keepers, fish were in the brush or suspended off structure. Was a beautiful afternoon to be out. Talked with a couple guys who were using the same pattern as I was, except with minnows.....They had a limit. May try again tomorrow. g
  2. I am a definite maybe, weather dependent, if it gets cold I may be far south
  3. @Terrierman If not for Ladybear's Family Christmas in St. Louis I would come pick you up and we could get a anchovy pizza from Nina's for lunch. You ruined me my friend......
  4. No salad again. Even though I am not going I care buddy.
  5. Put in at State Park about 1030 waited for it to warm a bit. Tried throwing a road runner monkey milk and vertical jigging all fish came on road runner. Fish were near and in structure on the FFS. If the length limit was still 9" would have had 2 plus limits, but it is not so came home with an empty live well. Most fish were in 20-30 FOW about 12-15' down. The wind was a bit brutal, but warmed up and just great day to be out. Face was wind burned but worth it. Sorry I did not note water temp. tight lines g
  6. @Terrierman Since the flood the ole gal ain't what she used to be, you can pick a spot and run it now.
  7. I run a 20-52 alweld with a 50-25 jet(yeah I know) works well on the White, Norfork (with 1 unit) and Taney. I ran a glass river boat with a jet for about 20 years with a jet, 10 without. Only issue with my 20-42 river boat was shallow side depth, on taney the big bass boat guys could make it a bit dicey. It would float through stuff my alweld won't but the Alweld will power through stuff the glass boat won't . As @gotmuddy says at minimum flow a yak is the only answer on Norfork, and a couple places are pick your way through. I do not have many issues with sucking rocks, but leaves in the fall and coontail moss in the summer can be a challenge (do not take my jet to Little Red, bad things man bad things) I went with tiller steer for not only boat room but do not have to buy one of those steering wheels thing of a bobs.
  8. I stayed at deer camp, my crew did not get back until 1230 camp is a hour away but they stayed to watch the seniors carry off their rocks and the thicker kicker.
  9. If you do cross the shoal at Rim, take your phone, if you get trapped by rising water call (870)435-6144 They will come rescue you, or better yet just go to the Rim Shoals office and for a small fee they will water taxi you to the island, and come get you at a set time or you can call for pickup. They keep an eye on the river.
  10. @gotmuddy good price but a small dance floor up front..... if @aarchdale@coresleep.com does not buy the motor I may have a guy with interest also.
  11. Rim Shoals for me, size 20 Dan's turkeytail emerger....got a warning, mashed barb offered some resistance....I questioned the reasoning....."the law says barbless, I am giving you a break for a fly with a mashed down barb...." They may have corrected the law since then?
  12. I will reach out to Danny, the building was leased he may be moving nearer his home in Cassville. His plastics were fantastic when he was hand pouring but lost some quality when they went into production.
  13. Have you looked at Ledgerock Lures Jigs? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Ledgerock_Lures_FlipCast_Jig/descpage-LLFC.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Ledgerock_Lures_Heavy_Finesse_Jig/descpage-LHFJ.html Made in Shell Knob by another good fisherman
  14. @Terrierman@snagged in outlet 3 Gentlemen, the photos need an object for reference..... as I greatly respect you both as fishermen and friends, Ladybear was greatly disappointed in the size of the tool for the price..... not the first time.....
  15. Good deal we are needing rain bad.
  16. I was given a set up video and all ....still in the sealed package. Dang I am a hoarder.
  17. On another note, IF the Ulterra will not stow, due to power issues, DO NOT follow the instructions in the manual, which will require authorized service. The thing is only held on with 4 machine screws, pop the side caps and take it off. When power is restored all is well.
  18. Lithium is not a good mix with the ulterra on my river jet, while lighter when the voltage drops, the battery still has lots, but the ulterra sense the drop and would not deploy until I recharged. Went back to AGM(i don;t like to add water to batteries)
  19. Well after returning from Northern Michigan, Driftless in Wisconsin and North Colorado on a 4 week journey.... Love all of them, trout, walleye, SM, etc. Love the highs of 70s when it is near 100 here. Love and respect each fish and their habitat. Ready to go to the "meth den" and find some hybrids.....wherever there are any fish I love to pursue. Fly is my preferred method, but spinning will work too.....I should never be allowed to touch a baitcaster again.... have been known to use a gig also. Whatever it takes. Just Love fishing and the places they live (except the meth den) Went to a guide friends house in Northern Colorado to watch a couple Meateater shows.....not impressed. Not a fan of most outdoor journalist....sorry @Ryan Miloshewski would rather live it than read it.
  20. Local Chevy dealer wanted $450 to replace tpms sensors..... bought these $20 https://www.amazon.com/Pressure-Monitoring-Replacement-13586335-13581558/dp/B09JYFS7F6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=DYOXPPG1PO4C&keywords=tpms+sensor&qid=1690632994&sprefix=tpms%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-5 tire shop installed and programed for $10 a tire......$60 no light.
  21. Now now Rick, you left off the long rough gravel road trip up there and the Grizzly bear infestation. Actually I do carry bear spray and a side arm fishing up there anymore. Seen a guy wear them out up there with 15lb on a zebco 33 using a mepps......impressed me.
  22. Sorry Dutch
  23. Curtisce I run the 10" on LS, the 93sv is hooked to my Ultrex with the adapter. With LS I do not need side image on the trolling motor, really do not need the down sonor but it reassures me. Of course the SI is hooked to console. The other transducers sit in the shed waiting for my next trip to Truman when I knock one off. You will want all the screen you can get on the livescope my two cents.
  24. Ladybear and I went back yesterday. Did try the "magic swimbait" It was the dink master, do not know how fish that small could get it in their mouth. Basically same pattern, lake has been pulled down about 3 feet, 16 fow, over brush piles, say back cast over count down just the top of brush reel slowly. Only 11 keepers, many not getting it good and lost on way to boat. Beautiful day to be out. Took her to Pomedirita's for supper great day.. The carrot stick in a pearl 1/16 jig head and glimmer blue joker on a 1/16 road runner head were the producers for us.
