  1. Great report and lot of good info!
  2. Looks like one, but hard to tell, you need to get a lot closer for a better pic. Or you could pick it up and toss it in the water, cottonmouth float real high on the water. 😃
  3. That's the same as my buddy (not mentioning any names), stuck a top water in the top of the head of the guy he was fishing with, they went to the ER at Mt. Home and the doc wanted the lure for the wall, but it was a special top water so they didn't give it to the doc.

    Apples

One thing I miss about my time in Washington were the fresh apples.
  5. Caught one myself earlier this year. No idea what causes it. I'll send out the Bat alert for JF @Johnsfolly
  6. I've had them nip at the stalks but never had a problem with them eating the tomatoes until this latest incident.
  7. Crossing the bridge over Little Sugar on HWY 71 Friday afternoon, saw a MODOT employee looking over the edge of the bridge, and then here comes a couple of cops, sirens on. Went in to Walmart and got what I needed and on my way back over the bridge, looked upstream and saw a pickup on a 45 degree bank front end into the water with water up to the windshield. Dunno why or how, but there it was.
  8. A couple of hundred yards down the road from me is a cul-de-sac where one of the regulars parks to walk into his stand. Just saw him drive by, bet he is out to work on his set-up or maybe put some trail cams out. No firearms can be discharged in the Bella Vista limits, unless it is at the gun ranges, but you can bow hunt here. Open to the public, probably too far away for most of you, but if not, come down and get some, got a doe near my house that ate all my cherry tomatoes, that deer needs killing.
  9. Nice trip, I talk to someone that fishes about everyday and it has been tough, I'd be real happy with a morning like yours. So what exercises do you do to get into "guide shape". 😀
  10. Give Bill a call at JWM trailers in Reeds Spring. 417-272-1900.
  11. Looked at the Regatta listing and there was a night tourney (40 boats) going out of Indian.
  12. Saw this on the AR district Corps Facebook page: We turned off hydropower generation from Bull Shoals and Norfork power plants earlier today because of an incident downstream. We are doing everything we can to assist local authorities. We do not have any further details at this time. We plan to bring both power plants back online at full power in the morning. Those downstream of the dams can expect heavy generation off and on tomorrow. Please be advised that these may be very unusual flow patterns. Fishermen and floaters are urged to immediately move to higher ground when the horns below the dams are sounded. Do not wait for the water to start rising before taking action. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Water levels can be found by downloading our smartphone app or using our website.
  13. Dang, was curious about that triple rig, going to try it for sure, thanks for reporting the results.
  14. One on each point of a treble. I might try this out on TR, maybe with three finesse worms. Give John Murray’s Triple Drop-Shot a Shot - Major League Fishing
  15. If you want to see a LOT of points, visit the Golden museum in Golden MO. It's all stuff that was found by artifact hunters. So many points that you'll get tired of looking at them. They also have some stuff from Mexico and Central America, points and tools made from green jade (I think it is jade). It's free and there is hardly ever anybody in there if you go during the week.
  16. Bought a new truck, selling my F150 4X4, extended cab, auto locks, windows, AC, FM/AM CD player, Sirius capable. 5.4 V8, ready to tow. I'm the sole owner, have changed oil at least every 5K miles, doesn't burn oil, no fluid leaks. 150,000 miles. Front struts replaced, new brake pads about 10K miles ago, 4WD actuators replaced, new starter, new battery. Also have a spare new battery I will throw in. Dent in the tailgate, plastic cover on rear light broken (see pics), tires have about 10K left on them, tow mode button will only function when engine is cold. Back seat has a lot of dog hair on it, almost impossible to clean off, I would recommend a seat cover. Mid range blue book value is $8,550 in this condition which is what I am asking. Use the PM feature on the site to contact me.
  17. I use the Rage Craw as a trailer quite a bit, it works. If you want to upsize you can go to the Rage Lobster too.
  18. I'll definitely consult with Marty prior to going. For me it would be more of a generalized fishing trip than focusing on natives. Might be able to find some overlooked bass fishing out there too.
  19. So anyone bag a grayling yet? Thought this was interesting (see link below). Sounds like a good place for a road trip, grayling, Colorado river cutts, tiger trout and maybe some big brookies. One of these days I am going to do a long road trip out west, might put this place on my list of places to visit and fish. Brook Trout Fishing - Utah Fishing Hotspots | Visit Utah
  20. Thanks for the report. Are you using crawlers? Thinking about fishing them myself, would like to get some gills once this heat wave vamooses.
  21. I'm told the ER in the Mountain Home emergency room has a wall full of lures that they've pulled out of people. Every time I hear these stories of people having a treble hook stuck in them with a fish flopping around on on one of the other points it gives me the willies.
  22. That is sweet, congrats!
  23. Well today I was thinking of trying a double fluke rig next time I run across some top water schoolers. Ought to get some doubles if they are really going at it. Ran across this blast from the past.
