  1. Thanks Phil. Detailed reports on any area are hard to come by. Yours is by and far the most comprehensive. I like the B/W photo also. Nice touch, sharp and clear.
  2. Yeah! Welcome back. F em if they can't take a joke is always been my motto to live by...... Notice, F em is my shorthand for Female Doggy when I can't say beech tree anymore.

    Apples

I planted 4 apple trees at the farm Spring 2019, one survived, but is failing. I plan on an orchard when I retire. Not a big one, but a healthy one. Its alot of work, more plagues than bees have. I have a customer that has built a pretty impressive orchard in the past few years. He is a lawyer and can toss the cash at it, its pretty nice.
  4. Looks like some perv in Springfield has found a loophole in the system and flying drones in your backyards. Springfield Neighborhood Concerned About Drones I cured that around here, planted enough trees that grass does not even grow. But if I do hear the buzz, hunting accident when trying to pop whatever is in season at the moment.
  5. No 007 mission to Afghanistan?? Happy ending this time.
  6. Vacation over, nice thing about Riverton, no teck. They are coming back. Soon probably. We have let our guard down and lost our backbone. Remember the colored conditions of our countries state of probability?
  7. Think they used that all up in boot wash stations.
  8. Study Finds that Deer Carry the Covid Antibody. First question was why money was spent to look for it. Second, will the meat make you a super spreader or invincible?
  9. Almost 20 years later, lets dredge this one up..... Current events. Wonder where ole Terry went to. Lots of others on the Forum back then are gone. Started a 4 day vacation today, first time off since June. Good news at the DR Visit, "You are over 4 years out now, almost zero chance of cancer coming back"! Stopped at Dunn's and one of the guys said, "America the Great". I responded, but was confused, "Yes it is". He responded and the conversation turned to the news that I had not seen. Terror bombs overseas have killed our men.
  10. Thats from May.
  11. How much a board foot? Green or kiln dried?
  12. You are the pest control product tester...
  13. You have to get close with those scatter guns. Table salt or Kosher?
  14. They out number us all. Stuck my hand near something outside and a spider bit me. Raised a red welp on the finger that burned for a while. Did not fall off.
  15. Caught one on the TN River below Pickwick last year. About a 3 pounder.
  16. Blister beetles have been around for years. I would not recommend handling them. They secrete a liquid that raises a blister on your skin. Its a big watery blister that itches. Most I remember are either gray with a black strip or yellowish orange with a black strip. Small head and thorax with a longer abdomen.
  17. I ship all my stuff to the office. Skip that BS. Looks like it may make it tomorrow. If the driver remembers our business hours.
  18. I tend to stray away from all forms of news media. Its all propaganda now that we have entered a communist society.
  19. When I attended, I stayed in Residence Halls every year and summer the last few in apartments that my buddies vacated for the summers. You could have firearms on campus when I went. I kept one rifle or a shotgun in a locker of the Hall Supervisor. Bows and airguns were in the rooms. I had a dart board on the door and a Crosman 177 pump pistol that did darts that I practiced with. Had to make sure the door was locked. About drilled a few coming in while playing. We shot bows above an outdoors shop on Broadway in an old indoor range. I think we paid $5 a month for that. I used local MDC areas that had just opened up for small game and playing around. Alcohol had to be sneaked in. 905 Liquor had the best deal and we could return the bottles for a 5 cent refund. Girls were off limit too, had to sneak them in for an overnighter. Most of the residents were from St. Louis and I taught them many things. I was the redneck of the floor. The creative one that came up with many entertaining ideas.
  20. Looks like it may have bit the dust in MS. Nothing on the calendar to track and a says there may be a delay. Good ole FEDEX.
  21. 10" trout on Spring River in Ark started that fiasco. Might actually say it was a triple, 2 fingers and a trout.
  22. Cheaper than pulling one over there. All I remember seeing was the Jon boats there. Guess I just assumed the others were guide boats.
  23. I ordered some things Weds, 2 day "Free" shipping. Still scheduled to be here today. But. FEDEX took it from IA, to MS. Last scan was in MS at 12:40 this AM. FEDEX sucks. Not sure when it will arrive.
  24. Do not buy any Conibears. You may lose a limb if you are curious. WTH, are you some kind of PETA feller that has to see what they go thru?
  25. I stopped at Rally's across from the University today to grab a quick bite between customers. Young feller in front of me. I struck up a conversation with him, Freshman coming in getting ready to start his college life. Sparked the thought, 40 years ago today, I parked my 67 Cougar in the gravel parking lot across the road from this new burger joint. Lugged my stuff 3 blocks to the dorm where I camped for my college years. The gravel lot that was named by the University was called the "Pig Lot". Its now the Show Me Center Event lot. I drove over and eat my lunch. And fixated on the only comment that the young lad had, "I am pretty stressed out, don't know if I will get my food before the shuttle bus leaves across the street". He has alot of living to do to make it to where I am today.
