Has anyone else done this?   I have a small, quarter ounce I think, spinner bait that’s “my lucky” bait.   I don’t know what is, but that thing flat catches them.  I don’t remember where I got it or the exact particulars about the skirt color.  Blue, white and chartreuse I think.  2 small Colorado blades.
I was on the river yesterday and never really could dial them in and I thought I would try that little spinner bait.   So I pull it out and put a twin tail trailer on it get it all set to go and I throw it overboard like I do when I tie on a new lure.    I pick up my rod and realized I did not tie it to the line and my favorite spinner bait went to the bottom.😂.

No, thats pretty stupid.  But just like a DJT criminal defense, your story doesn't add up. If you didn't tie it to the line, how did it go overboard?🤣

Yep, and why I never do it with something that floats?

Maybe once or twice, I try and forget about stuff like that.  😀

I've seen that happen more than once.  I blame this whole anti-littering campaign.

Wads of old line laying on the floor of every boat that comes in here.  If your rigging a rod while standing in the middle of them it's real easy to grab the wrong end.

Plus, when you are running down the lake those wads of line always find their way under the console.....and in Hotfoot equipped boats that is a serious safety issue.

I had a wad of line in a jacket pocket once that caused me to have to overhaul a washing machine.  🙄

I think you need to have a board meeting about this… Pete is 1/1000 Italian, so he deserves to be treated better than being called stupid… You’re running on fumes, you need to circle the wagons and do a level set. At the end of the day, you need to become a big hitter and get bang for your buck. you’ve got a tiger by the tail with all your sweat equity… You need to produce a synergistic relationship. Dang racist

I throw trash and old line or plastics in one of the live wells that’s never had water in them.  Dry storage essentially.

I make part of my living replacing prop shaft seals, so I'd appreciate it if y'all would keep throwing those wads of old monofilament & braid in the lake. 👍 I've got one more kid to put through college.
