I havent been on the water in 3 months. Cant remember how long its been since ive had that long of a spell without getting my fishing fix.  Temp. in truck said 24 degrees at 8:30 when i put in. On the way there i was sure i would be the only dummy that early. Thought others would wait until tge sun warmed up a bit. Nope there were atleast 15 other rigs there.

Talked to a few boats fishing the ProAm who stated it has been a tough day for them. One guy blew his powerhead early so it was going to be a long day for him.

I was there for 3 hours and didnt get a bite. A-Rig, RC, JB with nothing.  I learned one thing tho.  I will never try the Ned again without bringing Superglue. Man every single cast it would slide down the hook. Tried that maybe 15 casts before that got old.  Hope i do better at the OA tourney.

Welcome back. The fish missed you. They were just getting back at you for not trying to catch them for 3 months. Some people don't leave home without their lucky hat. You on the other hand set a whole new bar with the glue fix. lol

You gotta have that upper glue.

I did not go today, but looking at the weather this morning I can see where it would have been tough.

Haha M&M. Those little turds were tight lipped as far as what i offered them. Probably the way it was offered tho. I believe all 5 or 6 boats i seen were throwing the A-Rig.

After i got the spinning outfit out, i remembered i had "borrowed" the glue out of the tackle tray to fix a piece on the camper, and as my brother would do when he borrows stuff, forgot to put it back where it goes. That taught me a lesson.  Now need to go look at the ProAm stats from today.

That same thing happened to me two or three different times.  Consequently, I got pizzed at my own incompetence and, in a fit of self rage, proceed to the Wal-Mart's (my dad always prefaced Wal-Mart with "the" for some reason) and bought FIFTEEN packages of the gooey magic!

I put one on the workbench in the garage and one on the workbench in my little downstairs shop and the other THIRTEEN in the boat!

Henceforth, all thirteen of the little boogers are strategically located from starboard to port and aft to bow and I will NEVER again find myself without an inexhaustible supply while on the water.
