I guess you'd have to swim it through those weeds. Might be worth trying some of the small swimming baits Z-man makes. We've sent a lot of jigs north, especially to Michigan.

My saying on that is that It gives you something to do while waiting for the big one to bite. I should have put LOL after my post. I know it will catch some big ones. The fish in my profile picture was caught on the NED crazy4fishin, Quillback, dtrs5kprs and 1 other 4

For derby use, I know several guys using it to eliminate water. Idea being you can throw it, and it will tell you if any fish are on whatever you are fishing. Then you can worry about upgrading if needed (not always needed). Big deal in terms of confidence. In my tmt experiences, lot of guys fish without confidence, confirmation, or downright scared. magicwormman, mixermarkb and crazy4fishin 3

Doty gave me one a few years back that was shorter and split. I'm going to give the thing a try when I get back up North. Is it a rock/mud only bait or will it work in grass/weeds/ lilly pads? TRD on top in GP. Cut Zinkerz on the bottom in PBJ. Anything else had probably been stretched more, cut differently, or otherwise tweaked. crazy4fishin, Muddy Water and Deadstream 3
IL Fisherman Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 That's a dandy fish Muddy. I'm jealous. dtrs5kprs and Muddy Water 2
Smithvillesteve Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I really like the Ned Stickz. Seems to catch more quality fish for me than the TRD. A little longer and skinnier. And has the end with fingers. Those Ned rigs are fish catching machines!! And i see some manufacturers are copying Dave's jig heads now. But I will be loyal to Dave!!
