The scope i ordered has a 1 piece mount that should eliminate that. I was referring to the internals in the scope, but yeah, its hard on mounts also.

They definitely aren't as heavy as the rockets which is why I don't like them at the longer distances but up close they are deadly. There is a good bit of mushrooming compared to other pellets in .177. There is no doubt when you make a hit with them. There is a noticeable pop when the redfires find there mark. Ketchup 1
Lancer09 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 The large skunk I shot a few weeks back actually fell to one of the redfires. Single shot to the top of the head and he was done. Ketchup 1
JestersHK Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Crazy timing on this thread as I just shot my buddy's GAMO on Saturday. His was a .177 but it was the bone collector edition with the camo stock but looks just like the wasp. Thing was crazy accurate. I still have an old Benjamin .22 pump pistol from my youth. That thing took a ton of rabbits and is still working great and just as it was when new. Gonna have to get one of those GAMO's though... They are nice. Johnsfolly and Ketchup 2
Ketchup Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 Wife and i got some shooting in, in the basement tonight. Got 4 guns sighted in. Heres a paper as we were getting the groups tighter. The bottom right hole has 8 pellets there. That was with the Gamo Silent Cat. Wife loves that gun, so im glad i have a different favorite. Ended up getting all 4 guns with tight groups at 10 yards. Thats with the cheapest Daisy pellets you can get. Word is after a few hundred the groups get really tight, and with better pellets. I bought better Crosman Premiers for after breakin period. . Tonight we shot 200 between 4 guns. Other picture shows from table to target, and target to table. Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 2 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. fishinwrench Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I ordered the Gamo Swarm and it's on its way. Dick's had some Crosman 14.3gr. hp pellets in .22 so I grabbed some of them while I was there. I'm probably gonna need to order some others to test after I get it broke-in good. I assume that I want to go heavier, no? I'm hoping to be able to dispatch small critters out to 35-40 yards. Any pellet recommendations?
