Daryk Campbell Sr Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I went today to putt around in my Gheenoe. I put out a question of where I could find enough water to launch,as most access points that I have used are very low. I found excellent water, pretty green color. There was no current. Water temp was 41. The river was 2-5 feet deep per my depth finder. Very clear. I seen 2 turtles, and a few suckers. I fished a Zara Puppy, and a HD Craw. I could not find a bite. There was a fish swirling the top, but was farther than I could cast. I will come back, the ramp is nice, the parking lot has plenty of room. Gavin Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Nice looking rig! You will find them eventually. Just takes time to learn new water. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Mitch f Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Make sure your boat stickers and trailer stickers are current...there is a Barney Fife guy there that will write you a ticket....speaking from experience Daryk Campbell Sr 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
snagged in outlet 3 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 My boat is current and Barney is there. He glad handed me while checking out my tags. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Smalliebigs Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I like the boat Daryk...its a tough area to fish and be successful Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Johnsfolly Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Good luck figuring out the fishing with your rig! Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Hog Wally Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 It's one of my favorite stretches of river. I think it has massive shad factory and plenty of deep hideaways to grow big fat fish Smalliebigs, Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 3
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 I am current and legal. I bought the trailer new to make sure there wouldn't be any problems. I keep my boating card in the box. Motor is registered. Thanks for the tip just the same. I am odd on the fact that I really like to pay my share. I use way more resources vs what I pay. There is no way that I could afford to pay for the ramp, parking lot, roads leading to the area etc with the small amount that I contribute. Greasy B Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Cool boat, nice stretch of river. I haven’t been there since the ramp was under the bridge. How long ago was that? My problem is I get too lazy and don’t take care and maintain my stuff well...Anyone who fishes in my boat can see that!😂 Greasy B, Gavin and Daryk Campbell Sr 3 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
