Yeah any situation where you are outnumbered you are pretty well screwed.

I like the manual of arms on the AR platform.  Like to keep them all the same so that God forbid I end up in a crap situation my muscle memory takes over and I'm not freezing up unsafing a weapon that for me I have allot less rounds downrange on.  Reason I carry 1911 style pistols as I grew up with 1911's and always carry cocked and locked.  During my draw my brain automatically flicks the safety off before I'm on target.  Need someone to make a reliable AR shotgun.  Would be a good compromise.

Well I can say is during our fishing outing during jigfest I was not worried all all about a pirate attack :) .  Argh matey ,

It truly would.   Built so it wouldn't get hot and jam.

Your honor, I would like to present this as Exhibit A of the pandemic gun culture sweeping our nation.  Cocked and locked!  After reading this, does anyone else feel woefully underprepared for the next zombie attack that could strike at any moment?

I'm glad that you live in such a rose colored reality.  I pray for you that you never get to experience seeing someone shot, a gun in your face, almost being stabbed, or knowing a home invasion victim that was tied up and raped for two days.  I wish I was as lucky as you to live that care free.

Feel free to continue to mock me and the situation though.  Speaks volumes of your character...

You can't prepare for everything.  If you prepare for a zombie attack, and drive a tank so you don't get killed in a car crash then a tornado or a earthquake will get ya.

As bad as it seems, because of worldwide media coverage, the odds of being gunned down or attacked by a flakka freak is thankfully near the bottom of my stuff to seriously worry about list.

a gun in your face

I have. Twice. And I wasn't armed either time and walked away from both. One guy I was able to talk about of a bad decision he had made, The other didn't turn out so well. He spent a few days in the hospital.

Me having a gun in either of those situations would have just made things worse. But it also proves that just because you have a gun on somebody doesn't mean that you get to walk away. Because like I said before sooner or later you are going to run across somebody that is a hell of lot meaner than you.

True that.  Plus, carrying a gun for defense but not wearing a bulletproof vest is pretty ignorant.  If you shoot the "attacker" before the attacker shoots (or attacks) you...... you're likely going to prison and you'll definitely loose all your firearms.   The first thing ya gotta do is live through the attack.

Okay, yes - I'll admit my character as being maybe . . . not completely bankrupt -- lets just call it "overdrawn".  And its true I've lived a charmed life.  Never seen anyone shot, but i've had my fair share of scrapes and near misses.  To the good ---  I've had more panties thrown at me than Tom Jones.

Sorry you've had to go through all that.  Hope you can someday get the chance to be the Wild West hero.  Maybe it'll be me that you save, and I'll surely be grateful.   But until then, I'd kinda feel a whole lot safer there weren't so many you goofballs like you walking around cocked and locked.
