I dont feel like it makes a bit of difference, i was purely commenting on how some people cant take a pic on here without getting flack and others are shund for it.

Umm, thinking there is another reason they USED to fish tourneys, but quit. I feel connected to this remark, so I'm anxious to hear why you think I quit. If you think I quit because I was loosing money then you're right. For the record I quit BEFORE there started being 70 tournaments per month, so therefore it wasn't about feeling sorry for the fish. I quit because there wasn't any money in it, and even though I had beaten a bunch of the best anglers in the country more than a few times I knew darn well that I couldn't do it every day. The odds are better spending that 50-100 bucks entry money on scratcher tickets twice a week. There's truly nothing worthy of respect to prove. It's all pointless, so why relocate 14,000+ bass every month on every lake in the country? It's just stupid and irresponsible. Doing stupid and irresponsible things is fine as long as it isn't hurting or bothering anything, but when the number of events gets to the level it is at today I dare you to deny that the effect is a negative. Go ahead, say it ain't so ! Customary smiley, so you know I'm not mad or anything...😘 Champ188, merc1997 Bo, cheesemaster and 2 others 4 1
LD Fisher Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I'm neutral for fish being relocated....... if they are released alive and in good shape. But, that being said, I'm against doing it during spawn with fish on beds, at least on Table Rock! I don't understand why intelligent people can't come up with a format that can be used during a one to two month period that would allow for the immediate release of fish. I just can't help but think that this would improve the fishing experience for everybody! Champ188 and merc1997 Bo 2

I didn't like the attitudes that were forming and I had three daughters and family was more important than fishing at that point. But it wasn't because i was bad at it. I get the drive and desire to compete. I still think about it all the time. But I also see the negative side. Some of us have just moved on. vernon, dtrs5kprs, Champ188 and 1 other 4

If you are anything like me you spent years and years studying bass behavior, you bought electronics that help you find key spots that fish RELATE TO. You know a promising area when you see one. Yet you're gonna assume that constantly relocating fish miles from their chosen home range areas doesn't degrade certain areas of the lake and overall effect the fish's habits? How do you pattern fish that are removed from their familiar environments and are completely lost? You should have learned by now that just any old brushpile, any old point, any old ledge just doesn't cut it. If you're going to support the constant unrelenting scattering of bass then why do you need topographic maps, sonar, or any knowledge at all about preferred fish habitat and how they relate to certain areas? The 4+pounder that you caught from that certain cove you like so well and hauled 24 miles away 2 months ago is still finning around out there trying to find a place that suits him. And when/if he does then boom, he bites the wrong thing and begins the lost and lonely process all over again. No patterning his behavior because it's totally random. The fish is lost. Some jackleg trolling a crankbait over 70ft. of water will probably catch him next. And for what???? You didn't make any money, and nobody thinks your awesome. If you could have just scored him and released him back to his familiar area then it could have just resumed its life unscathed. vernon and dtrs5kprs 2
Champ188 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Some of the club fishermen don’t know the investment of time and money involved in fishing at a higher level. I’m not complaining at all because I enjoyed it for 20 years and recouped probably more of my expenditures in winnings than I deserved, but like Wrench and Flysmallie, the dilution of the purses by too many derbies and the punkish attitudes of many contestants let me and Donna know it was our time to slow down. These days we go when we want, play golf when we want and in between I take guide trips and ... unlike derby fishing ... I know I’m gonna get paid every time. Kinda like Wrench making sure money every time he lifts a cowling off a motor. 😁 dtrs5kprs, merc1997 Bo, mixermarkb and 2 others 5

They said that is so I can't haul one around a while and turn it loose to keep a bigger one, but I think it means I can't haul one around and turn it loose at all. That's what it says any way. Just fish and fish laws, & I don't care, so carry on. I believe, as I read the code , you can carry a fish around for a while but if you release it at a later time, it still counts toward your daily limit. It's not prohibited to release them at another spot in the same body of water. merc1997 Bo, dtrs5kprs and Champ188 3
