oneshot Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Knew an Old Woman that enjoyed Twist and Whiskey. There is no way anyone could look her straight in the face and tell her that this was bad for her. I've been trying to take off a few pounds. Last night I was needing something to eat, we stopped at Sonic I got a Jr. Double Cheeseburger and small fires . Seemed to be the best I had had in years. oneshot Johnsfolly and JestersHK 2
JestersHK Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Crazy I must have missed this when John first posted it, sadly I've missed allot of things this past year to the crazy business of life. I too am closing in on 40 in a few years, and I am pushing myself as hard as I can, because I know it can all be gone in an instant. Sooner or later I won't be able to marathon fish as my body tells me enough is enough, but until then its Game On! I catch allot of friendly grief about how I fish like some possessed madman, death marches with kids in tow on creeks , 18 hours in the waters of Taney at a time and many sleepless nights hunting for the next bite, and chasing brownies while my boat captain takes a nap, but truth of it is I don't want to waste a single second of the windows of time I am able to get out on the water. Can't wait to see ya soon John. Know you'll always have your fishing buddies here in MO when you make it back. BilletHead and Johnsfolly 2

Oh yea, Those sad eyes and then you saying hey Marty I'm hung up again. I think it was on purpose because of all those fish I was catching. Trying to slow me down and then blaming it on where you were in the boat. We then traded spots. Did that change make any difference? 🤣. Might have been jealous then as well! I did edit these pictures and it made the fish look better! JestersHK and BilletHead 2
Terrierman Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Moderation in all things is what my grandmother taught me. Pretty good advice. Safe travels, high tides, fair winds, and many many bites Mr. Folly. Fare well, pilgrim. Ham, Bushbeater, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 3 1
Ham Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 My Dad is going they a terrible stretch. He’s at a Nursing Home. Too sick to get better and too well to die. He has almost zero quality of life and it breaks my heart. I love my friends, family and life BUT I’ll Gladly give up some years to avoid being in my Dad’s situation. I really, really don’t want to linger. So I’m very aware that we all have an expiration date. I’m trying to make a point to live better. Enjoy the time I have. Eat better. Fish more. Make sure friends know I value them. I’m holding out hope that John isn’t always going to live states away and that in the meantime with some effort and planning, I can still manage to fish with him at least once a year. My mother is in much the same shape. It's not much fun to watch. The only thing we can do is take it as a cautionary tale and live the best lives we can. tho1mas, Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4
