You see, we get to hear about how foul and rediculous lake O is all the time from the TR guys, and all the while Lake O limits are dwarfing yours. Maybe after awhile that crap builds up inside the folks that truly do love this lake.....and a little sarcasm seeps out. Big deal, lighten up. Nobody wants to see a fish kill ANYWHERE. But when we have one here what is the first thing that comes to your mind? "Doesn't surprise me, that place is a cesspool". Right? Wrench I've never said that stuff about LOZ. I wish it was closer so I could fish it, it's a great LM lake. If crap builds up inside of LOZ folks , well this is not the thread to foul with that crap. abkeenan and Terrierman 2
Bill Babler Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 I guess someone is going to have to point out a thread to me about anyone ever knocking LO on this forum. I simply love the place and you all know its where I'm from. Grew up there and went to HS there along with being on the State Water Patrol there for several years. As a matter of fact, going up last part of the week. I fish it multiple times a year and look forward to my time on the mid-state pond. Only fusses I have ever heard is to many boats, but you will hear it more on the Table Rock forum about the Rock than LO. That's probably enough about that as far as I'm concerned. Let's move on. merc1997 Bo, MoCarp, Terrierman and 3 others 6 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

No fishing between Sarasota & the Glades right now. East coast has some impac bout not as bad. Canceled our trip, selling off all in FL. A toxic swamp off SW Coast now. Used to have great fishing, but a dead zone now. My in laws have a place in fort Myers and I had to go back and look at the dates on my pictures. It March 2016 they had the red tide down there too. Water out of Okeechobee was skank water and killed everything in it's path. Ruined the fishing in Pine Island Sound. LOZ is a hog factory.
mojorig Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 I need to update my original post on Page 2 after talking to the Trout Program as it appears I wasn't completely correct. Here is the correct information provided to me. The AGFC Trout Program investigated a fish kill on 7/30/18 that was reported in the lower portion of Beaver Tailwater. The following dead fish were observed between the Houseman Access and Spider Creek: 1 Brown Trout, 1 Rainbow Trout, 22 Gizzard Shad, 8 Threadfin Shad, 28 Sculpin, 2 Common Carp, 1 Bluegill, and 1 Logperch. There were no observed dead fish between Spider Creek to 1/2 mile above the Bertrand Access. They took dissolved oxygen readings and found low readings toward the bottom of deeper pools. Since then, water releases through either Beaver Dam's conduit or generator have increased DO levels and cooled water temperatures in the tailwater. snagged in outlet 3, tjm, MoCarp and 3 others 2 4 Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov

Red tide starts ~40 miles off shore in the Gulf, the swamp water may stink but the ocean killed the fish. Wind moves the algae onto the shoreline.

Guy has had a chip on his shoulder since day one here on the boards for whatever reason. Assuming his whole life from the looks of it. Never once in a single post he's ever made has he offered something beneficial to the OAF community. Just a bunch of negative, condescending, downtrodden and otherwise empty posts devoid of value. There you go lying again. I given some pretty good tips. I do not come on here and be cute about turds floating aroun=d in LOZ Really the whole post was there just for you. I knew it would get you to telling your BS

You are a disgruntled old man who now lives to just troll on internet forums and nothing more. Pretty shameful to still act like that at your advanced age. Only a few years left and you don't appear to be using them wisely. Not sure why you continually post in the TR forum since you don't ever fish it, have no reports, no experience and only get your jollies by taking periodic shots at it when you see an opportunity. Maybe just stick to the LOZ forum, although I doubt they want you over there either. You're a miserable person and that is apparent to all. This will be the last time I waste my time responding to any of your "trolling" or otherwise useless sentiments. Codywskeeter1521 and Smalls21 1 1
Gavin Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 To be honest the Lake O water & related green scum is just bad as the red tide. It’s not salty enough, there is too much of it, it’s toxic and all man made. It’s been killing the fishery around Ft Myers on the west and Port St. Lucie in the east. The long red tide this year is a double whammie.
Terrierman Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 It's cool to use mother nature to fight over. Red Algae has as much right to live as anything. Its a strange and wonderful rock on which we live. Not always what a man in a boat would choose first. But tough. We get what the planet gives us. As for me, I am thankful for it.
