Busted two in the percussion stages making preforms but did get another complete.  Not too bad of a representation of the Dickson point. 3 7/8 inches long made from heat treated  Burlington chert. Dickson points are aged 2500 - 2000 before present or 550 to 50 BC.  Anybody that is interested in this point give a shout on here and I will make a list and get someone to draw a name. Give it a week. I will send it to you and sign it if you want. Up to you,

Never found a quartzite point, but have two granite points, and two hard limestone points in my modest collection.  Can't imagine how they went about shaping a granite point.  Also have well done two tone point...kind of inferior chert, but half is dark brown, the other half is white, with separation going diagonally down the middle.

Awfully nice offer BH.  How can I pass it up?  Count me in.

Me 3!  LOL I'm thinking with the talents we have around here we could have a pretty sweet prize pool at Jigfest this year!  Catching the biggest brownie or cutt and then having that come along with some hand crafted goodies would sweeten the pot. ;)

Wish I could contribute something cool... but nobody would want beatup water logged phones LOL

I do have a certain Duck that was a tournament prize that I've put some thought around making into a travelling trophy!  My buddy named it the suck duck though since that was what won it for me that day... I sucked... :)

Agree your work is amazing and I can visualize the patience and motor control required to create these points.  I have neither - I would be left with broken pieces and bloody fingers...

Would love to take a closer look(s); please add my name to the list and thank you for the generous offer!
