MOPanfisher Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I can tell the truth. If I have to. I guess. Never have worried about overall nubers beyond a limit of crappie or walleye. Enjoyment is what I count. Ham, Johnsfolly, MOstreamer and 2 others 5

I track the number of each species caught and how many I caught on each bait. At least I try to be as accurate as possible. I would have to have four or five clickers. Instead I go through the list with each catch in my head then dump that into a spreadsheet😌. Someone once told me that I need a hobby when I showed then my fishing spreadsheets. I told them that this was my hobby 😁! Quillback, tjm, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 2 2
Gavin Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Those are not allowed in my boat.Click one IN my boat you will be asked to sink it pronto or you will be put ashore OYO if you choose to retain it. Worse than a box full of bananas.
jdmidwest Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I keep them in the boat to track bluegill in livewell, one for each person. As we have aged some, we do track the boat total fish on one during the outing. BTW, they are $3.99 normally at Academy in fishing Dept. BilletHead Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 We use them at times, Ham and our friend who passed are the ones I blame . For me it is a fun addition to trips. When Pat and I fish for white bass the catching can get frantic and we use them for friendly competition we gig each other constantly during the blitz. Same when forum member @curtise and I get on the whites. The rubbing it in gets more serious then! Maybe I'll run that for 2019 and see what I come up with at the end.

I calculate cost per fish only based upon license fees and stamps (trout park day passes, etc.). I do not include bait, tackle, boat fees, etc. just too depressing. So for MO - $0.08 per fish Maryland - $0.29 Virginia - $0.65 Tennessee - $5.05 Iowa - $6.73 Illinois - $17.50 (did not even fish during the three day license period ). Ohio - $19.50 - only one brown trout caught BilletHead and Flysmallie 2
