But read you guys exploits everyday. Just found out I have myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow. Will limit my fishing time for the next 7 or 8 months while I have chemo and a bone marrow transplant. So need something to keep me sane. Thinking about and planning fishing efforts is that thing. My goal is to get back on the water asap and meet some more ozark anglers. Got to go on jigfest two years ago and met Ham, quillback and billethead. So that's my baseline. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck to you buddy and prayers for ya too. Did we talk living areas? Are you on the West part of the state? Need anything or a visit let me know. stinger160 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Guys, thanks for the kind words. Mopanfisher, my chemo and bone marrow transplant will happen at KU's cancer center. I live in Lees Summit mo and they have a clinic real close where the chemo happens, then the transplant at the hospital downtown. We've had a couple of people with great experiences through KU so that's the plan. Quillback, BilletHead, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 To fish in a state other than MO. Jigfest will complete that. I would like to fish once a month. That would be an accomplishment for me. Johnsfolly, Ham, JestersHK and 1 other 4 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Gavin Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Hang in there Stinger! My buddy is still recovering from that. Had the stem cell reset. Doing better.
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Prayers Stinger for your journey to kick cancers butt! My goal is about the same as usual to fish more than I did the prior year. I’ve got a trip set up soon with a local river walleye guy, I’m wanting to learn more about catching and finding them in the local rivers here. Ham, Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 3 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 20, 2018 Root Admin Posted December 20, 2018 I don't really set goals. But I do think about what I'd like to do in the coming year. I'd like to get over and fish the south central Missouri Rivers with OAF guys. I'd like to take another Alaska trip with my fishing buddy before he gets too old. @Bill Babler I want to fish the Naknek River (Alaska) in late October for big rainbows. I've never been that late in the season. I need to fish Table Rock and Bull Shoals more.... great fisheries in my backyard. We want to teach more people to fish a jig... We all been given a certain numbers of days in this life... I never want to assume tomorrow will come. So I try to live each day as if it was the last although I fail to accomplish that most days.
