Caught this girl on the 8th in Matagorda Texas. Little golf course pond. Was a great start for 2019!!

I have yet to catch a big fish in 2019, but I have a good variety going. Crappie, largemouth, smallmouth , goggle eye, rainbow, and redhorse sucker.

I stuck with the literal translation of the thread and posted a pic of first fish caught. Heck! I might not catch a Big Fish all year.

Well I hope you catch several. Kinda got sidetracked on the topic with out thinking . The crappie was the first fish. That is my annual "go to" fish.

My first was a nine inch RR trout, last Monday, the others caught that day were much larger. High water in the warm creeks and two skunks in Capp's Creek, I'm getting a little shack worn. I'm starting to want a drought.
