Somebody mentioned on another thread that they thought they weren't allowed on the lake until the tourney.  Yet they are on the lake.

How is the following going to impact this event?  Haven't heard specifics but curious to see how this works out and if some of the hotter areas are "managed out".

I agree it is a little confusing.  I found this on the website to clarify how this event will work

They started practice yesterday.

I always thought they opened with show with "this group of anglers don't know where they are headed until the day of the event"

That is the major league fishing ‘cup’ events. 

This tournament is a bass pro shops tour event. 

They are run differently from each other. Think of the bass pro tournaments more like a normal tournament; only every fish counts. They are fished on lakes known ahead of time to the anglers and they get practice days ahead of time  

The major league fishing cup events are on supposedly unkown lakes and run in periods like what you are used to seeing on tv. 

It is easy to understand and follow once you realize to look at them as 2 different tournament trails. It would really help if people wouldn’t call the ‘bass pro shops tour’ a major league fishing event. Then there would be more of an understanding this isn’t the normal major league fishing.

Again, this isnt the same thing you've seen on TV before. Same MLF format but it's the Bass Pro Tour and not the summit cup. They wont be aired til fall but you can watch the live streams on they're website

The warmer the water gets the more important that morning bite becomes. Always seems to be a lull in the second period. Then bite picks back up. I think we all experience the same thing postspawn.

MLF and BPT. Same umbrella. Different events. BPT is live and MLF is taped.
