It doesn't change the signal, just changes how your phone processes it......I guess.  I don't know.  

My wife's BFF is an ATT manager and she told me to switch off WiFi if I wasn't able to make or receive calls, and whaddaya know.....it makes a difference on my phone.

Again, that means a horribly designed phone. Sometimes referred to as the POS model. But turning that stuff off doesn’t change the way it “processes it”. 

That would be like saying the pitch of the prop is effecting the idle.

I love this phone.  I've always been a Motorola fan (brand loyalty).  Plus it has an unbreakable screen, it's apparently waterproof enough, and doesn't overheat and go into HELP ME mode if left in the sun like my daughter's 🍎 phone does.

I'm sure it's not as good as yours....but hey, I can make/receive calls and texts, and access the internet when I'm way up the Osage, which apparently Seth and his friends can't, on the NFOW where others can't, and pretty much everywhere else.   It's rugged and hasn't let me down yet.    AND I can project Foghorn Leghorn cartoons (or porn) on my 30'x14' garage door to entertain the neighborhood.  How POS is it NOW? 😊

I have no data use limits so WTF do I need WiFi turned on all the time for?

I'll say this about you Wrench: not matter how backwards and/or misguided your (many and often repeated) positions are, you articulate your justifications pretty well! Not well enough to change my mind, but pretty well. And they just about always make me smile.

Well thank you!  I don't know about the rest of you, but my reason for coming here is entertainment. 

I told Krissy Poo this morning that y'all said I was FOS about the WiFi thing and she agreed with you.  So I asked why she told me to try it, and she said that changing a major connection setting causes the phone to scan .....and often enables it to grab a signal that it ordinarily wouldn't catch, and it is faster than totally rebooting the phone.   So there ya have it.  KMA!  😋
