So far CWD has not been documented as being transmitted to humans right?  So odds are pretty good I won't get it.  Cruezfeld Jacobs Disease (CJD) is the one that if anyone was to worry about getting that would be it, it occurs once in a million.  So again I'm not worried.

You can worry if you want, that's fine by me.

If you ate CWD positive meat and you got Sick from it 10 years from now it won’t be CWD because that name is for prion sickness in people it would be CJD, understand?  Eating or touching-venison at this point that even has a hint of a possibility is like spinning the   Cylinder Of a .357 and putting it to your head, you eats dah meat and takes yah chances

how many  people you know have had Alzheimer’s and had an autopsy? as far as people go, takes 10 years to show up, it’s not like “ I ate deer the last 10 years and nothing happened, then you get slammed with  dementia. personality I think the new regs to bump up land acreage  Required To get land owner tags isn’t $$$ grubbing but less billy bobs butchering his own meat at home, dumping contaminated carcass to effect other wildlife spreading the CWD, regs will get ramped up on requirements and control to get all deer tested or at least better tracked

In a world of dumb things I have seen this may be a prize winner.  There is no logical way to argue or discuss statement like this, time would be better spent telling the tree in my yard that I love it.

I gotta admit that is kinda out there, I think the point he is trying to make is that it might take a long time between exposure to CWD you developing the dementia or CJD or kuru, long enough that no one is apt to point out that deer you ate in camp 10-12 years ago, or the mutton stew you had at Aunt Aggie's,  as being the cause of your illness, if they even make a diagnoses of CJD.

 There is really no way of knowing if your late friend or relative with dementia had prions or not. Not a standard thing to cut off the neck of people and send it for testing. The disease may be more common than we think- or not. Bunch of oldies like you all shouldn't get excited or worry about it any how, with ten year or twenty year incubation we might all pass on of other causes before the CJD sets in. Pass that neck roast. Nearer the bone, sweeter the meat.
