I keep my pedestal up front. I’m pretty sure I’d end up in the drink without it. I don’t seem to have that issue in the back of the boat. I’d say a recessed trolling motor pedal might help. 🤷‍♂️

I can't stand having a butt seat in the way of me when I'm fishing in the front of the boat. There's a few guys I have to bring one for because their back bothers them after standing in a boat all day. Personally, my back feels better after I spend a day in a boat getting jossled around. It bothers me worse after sitting on my duff all week at work.

I used to have a seat up front because it seemed more stable. But I found myself focusing on things so much, that when I made a move, I would run right into it. darn near bounced myself into the water several times. Tried fishing without it and loved it. When I am the only one in the boat, which is the usual setup, I don't even take it. If my Ensure totally gives out. I get the one in the back.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

I heard they have a new ensure with a secret amino acid compound and a hint of viagara.  Makes you feel 50 again😆

I thought that the little viagra was to keep you from peeing on your shoe😁.

I'm in the same boat as Seth.  I find it very hard to fish from a sitting position... My knees bark after a day on the water though.

Trick is to just wade fish that night and the cold compress of waders fixes everything lol.  Then after not sleeping for 24 hours you won't feel anything when you finally due hobble into bed lol.
