Extended gigging season.

I gave up worrying about this crap as it did me no good. I know the MDC doesn't really care about the ramifications of illegal gigging, that is very obvious.

I know there are plenty of ethical giggers out there, hell they are in my family, my uncle is king of Shannon County in those regards. I just don't give a crap anymore because it is pointless to worry about gamefish getting gigged because nothing will change and the governing body that is in charge of protecting our wildlife is clueless as hell on the whole thing. 

I just try to get my good fishing in while I can.......that's where I'm at.......no reason to bang my head against the wall for nothing.

Heard something a little interesting today. My buddy who owns Adventure Outdoors Canoe rental and campground told me that a Trout Organization (I assumed Trout Unlimited?) donate a good sum of money to the MDC to monitor trout movement on the upper Meramec. So the MDC has placed a antenna on the Aventure Outdoors Building. I guess they can track a big brown until it gets caught or gigged now?

I know where I’ll be fishing this Fall and Winter..... I assume they probably stocked some brood fish as well??

Or until it rounds a bend and puts a hillside between itself and the antenna.  🙄 

They should have saved their money.
