Why I like this site

I have made the best friends in my entire 53 years on this planet.

I don't make friends easily. But having become a member I have met and had some very special times on the river experiencing nature with like minded folks,....... to having a shot of Tequila on a freezing cold porch in Dec being the last two awake,......... and some awesome times just being quiet in a boat slammin fish!

Thanks OA..... Im paying for a membership....if I can! (yeah I know its a bit late.......  can you contribute financially? ) - BTW how do I get some stickers for my Jeep?

 

Just heard from Phil there is no paid membership. Amazing..... but I would contribute as I have gotten so much more that I have contributed!!!!

You could let us all use your new place in Mountain Home when we want to go fishing....  That would be nice.

have been toying with that idea!
Just need to get the Ring Door Lock so I can open the door from home! I just would ask for a reasonable contribution to maintaining the place!

That and you contribute a lure to the river map of the White and Norfork I am painting on the living room garage door wall... sorta like a guest book but with a lure attached to where you have a great memory!

Anytime I am down folks are welcome to join me.. look for my post on the White Forum!.....Always looking to make new friends and fish! Sometime I put people to work  the first day down...

I'm blessed to have met so many people through this site too.  Gatherings like JigFest and One Bass are special.  I would encourage more events be organized.

My wife was totally freaked out on the first jigfest.  I told her I was going to go to Arkansas for a couple of days fishing and stay in a house down by the river with a bunch of guys I met on the internet.  She had visions of me getting drugged, mugged, beaten, kidnapped and left for dead.  Needless to say, now that she knows better, she's almost as enthusiastic as I am about me going and taking grandsons and good friends to meet and fellowship with some of the best people this world has to offer.  And I'm just one small example of what this site promotes.

My first OneBass, I went and stayed the night at some guy named Ketchup's house.   My wife was just as worried.   I had a blast and still attend.  Great site, great people,  great times.
