ness Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Kathy went to the store today. Last time we went to our local Price Chopper it hadn’t done a thing to make things safer, so she headed to HyVee. They’ve got plexiglass screens at the check out stand, sanitize the carts, one way only in aisles, spaced, kept people distanced at checkout, etc. Good for them, they’re now our store. She said about ⅓ of the people were wearing masks (as was she). Still lots of things in short supply but better than it was a week ago. Vowed not to go back for two weeks. We’ve got plenty. For all we know it’ll be worse then though. Major process when she got home. Everything wiped down, clothes into the wash, etc. Daryk Campbell Sr, nomolites, BilletHead and 1 other 4 John

JestersHK Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Guys I'll tell you one thing. I trust nothing the media has said or done... I have multiple friends and family in the health care and first responders in my family and circle of friends who I rely on for most of my "facts". That and what I hear from the hospital system I'm employed at. Here's their opinions and you guys can take that for what it's worth. My nephew is a paramedic and his fiance is a nurse who handles organ transplants. Both are still working and both have said it's business as usual. They secured sooner if their own PPE and we worry about his fiance as she is still having to fly for transplants. They both said it's worse than the flu but not the apocalypse they media wants you to believe. Nephew said it's even quiet in some hospitals. A friend of mine works dispatch and she said the calls are up, but nothing over dramatic. Lots of people refusing 911 and refusing to go to hospital which for some of the frequent flier type hypochondriacs or druggies looking for a free ride that's a good thing. As for my employer or hospitals are busy and we do have confirmed patients who are being treated. Have another Co worker awaiting test results too. We still are pushing tele medicine hard and pushing out herds of new iPads and mobile devices for remote screenings. Still locking down our Network as we still have people poking around where they shouldn't be... Had a good family friend from church had to go to ER yesterday. He's 50yo, had fever and trouble breathing. They chest x-rayed him and sent him home but he's at an empty friends house under isolation from his wife and 6 kids. I think we're going to see some rough couple of days here for the next few weeks... That's just my opinion, and I'm basing that off the deaths that are being reported. Even if they are 50 percent right we're in for a bumpy ride especially in densely populated areas. Be safe out there guys and don't touch your face. For those with small businesses follow Phil's example and grab those loans as I believe they are first come first serve and won't last forever... N9BOW 1
