So our family church friend I posted about earlier tested positive and got his official results back...

Good news is that he was out of town in Nebraska working (yes I know this wasn't smart, he's just tying to keep things afloat,  I'm not going to judge him as he's got a wife and 6 kids to feed...) so he's been away from his family since he came home and immediately quarantined.

2nd good news is that despite 2 trips to the ER for trouble breathing, he never went on vent and is now back at his friends empty house he's using as his quarantine shelter.  He's still got a mild fever, but we believe he's turned the corner and is on the mend lord willing.  He's 50 years old and in good shape for his age,  non drinker,  non smoker,  so he had the odds in his favor.   He still said it whooped his butt like nothing else.

With church shut down we're haven't personally been in contact with them thankfully yet sadly...

One of my wife's girlfriends she went to nursing school with works in the STL area.   She talked to her yesterday and she said beds at her hospital are only about half full.  She said that they do not believe we have peaked yet and they are expecting a rush in the coming weeks...

Take care everyone,  and don't touch your face.  :)

I know four  people that had all the symptoms of Coronavirus in early January. They went to the Doctor who couldn’t find the problem. They stayed home until they were over it.

Glad he is recovering.  I hope the worst is past us but am not willing to count my chickens yet.  There will be infections for many weeks yet, but hopefully at a much reduced rate.

The problem is that a lot of the symptoms are pretry generic and arent easily diagnosed.  What is it ILI influenza Like Illness or something, they take a swab and send it off, nope not influenza type a or b don't know what it is.

You'll never hear a health professional say it, but I'm willing to bet that smoking kills some respiratory viruses, and shots of Jim Beam kills some others.

LOL, if cigars and whiskey shots were a cure I would be in MUCH better health.  I want a cure that involves whiskey, butter and bacon.
