The ones I was hooking/catching from shore on Maui were maybe a foot long...might've been a different species(?)...but those buggers were repeatedly slicing right through my Fireline!  You can't even cut that stuff without the right scissors!

That’s cool!!!   When I was in Maui we went offshore.   Coolest thing was the flying fish.

These are the inshore lizardfish that we caught in Virginia on Sun. There are a bunch of Pacific species.

Saltwater fish are not leader shy, usually use at least 20lb flouro carbon bite tippet. 40-60lb for tarpon or big snook. Ladyfish are kinda toothy. and fun on a 5-6wt.

I remember when minnows pulling the hairs on my legs were irritating.  Pomme is on my list this fall.

Local muskie Fishermen reportedly have been catching and training muskie to attack people.  Their plan is to chase away swimmers, skiers and such, keeping the lake for fisherman.  At least that is what heard.

Having little kids come up to me when I am swimming and rubbing the hairs on my legs is a bit annoying to... wait that wasn't  me ..🤣
