Quillback Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Couple of goats on one of the overpasses on I-49 south of Fayetteville. News says they were 'euthanized'. Too bad, AGFC missed out on a chance to make some revenue issuing goat permits. BilletHead, tho1mas, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 2 2
Dutch Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 When I was a kid some people moved away and left a herd of about 30 goats. We used to go to that place and hunt them. They were never tame and got really wild in a short time. Quillback 1

You know one of them has its mother's voice in its head "Would you jump off a bridge if your friends told you to?!?" jdmidwest Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Had to feed a goat when I was in High School, my chore. Hated that stinking sob. Never figured out why we had it. Got buzzed up one night late and tied him on a flatbed trailer headed out of town. Took the heat for leaving the gate open, but never had to feed the thing again. Had other goats on the farm, one billy cornered me in a stall one time and about broke my leg. I used to grab him by the horns on the other side of a board fence that had a hot wire running along it. Made him jump for joy when I touched his nose to the wire. But he was always dumb enough to come back for another jolt. They have evil eyes. But they are good BBQ'd in a pit. snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 My in-laws had a bunch of fainting goats at the farm. They kept the ‘Billy in a pen behind the biggest barn because he stunk so bad.

Gavin Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Are the wild goats still in residence on the Jacks Fork? Feral domestic goats would be a better description. Some feral horses in that area too. Mountain lions, bears, mountain goats, deer, wild horses! Be careful out there! Grandpa Harold had a Mountain Goat head on his wall of bad taxidermy. Think his guides busted posterior for 2 days to haul it out.
