Not much of a short story, but didn’t know where else to post this. Living with my wife’s parents has its good and bad moments. But the good outweigh the bad. 😜

The bad:

Father stares at me almost all day long

Father doesn’t like waiting for someone in his way in the kitchen

Both mother and father race to inspect what I bring home from the grocery store. If we have 2 carrots 🥕 in the refrigerator, and I buy another bag, they get the carrots out of the fridge and show them to me and say in Chinese “Why did you spend money to buy carrots?? We already have some??”

When they clean up, which is often, they put things out of sight where no one can find them.

My father in law finally got his drivers license after flunking the driving part 3 times. He ran into our house and did about 3k damage.

The Good:

They keep the house clean and my wife is happy 😊.

I guess I need to consult with my Octopus Teacher ?? Right @Terrierman

Here's a short story for ye:

Once upon a time a guy grumbled about his in-laws on the internet. He assumed his wife would never see it, but she did. The end (of you-know-what). :D

So does the FIL give you an evil eye type stare?

It’s like he’s judging my every move...he corrects me if I’m doing something not to his liking BTW. The reason I know this is because about 6 months ago they used to live with my wife’s sister. When he moved in with us he told my wife that the other brother in law thinks he knows what he’s doing and won’t listen to me. 😂

That sounds like a rough time, Mitch.  I love my in-laws, but living in the same house with them would not work.

First world problems for us 😂

I can say this.  Wait until they are hard of hearing and won't wear their hearing aid....  OMG, it's unbelievable and hilarious at the same time.

I've got that going on big-time with my in-laws right now.  Just having dinner with them, they misunderstand each other and this causes arguments and they start yelling at each other like the Costanzas.  Refuse to wear their hearing aids.
