What size is that? Is it whatever the legal size limit for the lake is? Dave I have always assumed 12" when reading keeper. Could be wrong. Maybe 15". snagged in outlet 3
I always thought keeper meant 15”. Is that wrong? FishnDave

Seth
Keeper is just a bass of legal length that you could keep. "I probably caught 50 fish today, but only 10 of them were keepers. None of them were big though." "Fishing was slow, but everything we caught was a keeper. One was a toad." FishnDave and Greasy B

If you didn't keep it, it obviously was not a keeper and is just a fish story. But as they say, if it's your story you can make it up any way you want to. thewhitesnoop
Seth- We don't catch 100 keepers every time out. But if we don't catch 100 we are somewhat disappointed. We are generally satisfied with 80+, but 100+ is always the goal. I know this may seem inconceivable to you. It's ok. It's just a different level. Jerry Rapp
a 10 hour day equals 600 minutes. To catch 100 fish in a day that means you caught(cast, hook, reel in, un-hook, release) a fish on the average of every 6 minutes. Factor in pee breaks, getting hung up, retying lures, food/drink breaks, and that is almost an impossible task. If two guys are in the boat, then it is 12 minutes per fish(assuming each angler caught 50 each), which is still an incredible feat. Kudos to anyone that can accomplish it. snagged in outlet 3, timinmo and Greasy B 2
Johnsfolly
As inconceivable @thewhitesnoop claims of catching 80+ and 100+ smallmouth over 12 or 15 inches in a day between him and his buddies, he offers @Seth a trip to show him their next level fishing techniques. The two meet early at the boat access of river X. @Seth has brought a couple of his rods and a full tackle bag for the trip. @thewhitesnoop says he won't need any of that gear. They head upstream to a nondescript pool of the river and begin a slight drift. @thewhitesnoop reaches into a bag at his feet pulls out a stick of dynamite, lights it and tosses it into the water.. about 25 fish float to the surface and @thewhitesnoop nets those that appear to be 12 inches or larger. He measures those around 12 inch mark and all that appear to be greater than 18 inches. The largest fish was 18 12/16". @Seth is stunned and before he can react to their first catch @thewhitesnoop hands him a lit stick of dynamite and asks @Seth if he going to just hold it or fish!
