Great looking heads! Is that a twisted wire guard? Do you have an excess I can take off your hands?

Thanks for the compliment.  Sorry I got out of the bait selling business several years ago, too much red tape and government regulations both state and federal.  The weedguard is Surflon #45 nylon coated stainless steel leader wire.

After reading this thread a couple of times I got to thinking about my Ned heads.  I started with #1 and #2 hooks but got a good buy on 1000 1/0 gammy hooks and moved to them.  They are super on Stockton but Table Rock eats them up.  So I decided to go back to the #2 while I am not fishing Stockton right now.  I made up a dozen to try next time out.

Those are sweet!

Here's mine..

I've fished the same head for hours without snags, the only reason to take it off is to switch colors. I think there's every color of the rainbow and more 😆

They are excellent wacky jigs too, and I boated dozens of crappie this Spring with them fishing flooded Bull Shoals. Eagle claw hooks . 1/16 and 1/8

The head design is very special. You'd just have to see it in the water to know what I mean. It crawls over limbs with ease. I actually tried to snag it in a bush fishing it vertically, and it wouldn't with the wire guard and that head shape. Sure it gets hung sometimes, what jig doesn't eventually.  I even drug it up and down every type of rock bank in the lake and it just refuses to hang up. Yes It will once in a while if it gets wedged but that's not very often. But as far as the hook getting snagged, hardly ever. And I get 99% of them back if they do hang up.

no glue needed ever  Thanks to the sickle bend it holds the worm in place.

I’m assuming that you modified a mold or made one as I have never  seen a head that shape.

Need to pick up some of those. Not only for Ned's but for actual crappie fishing as well. I've only ever used his standard bass jigs and I'll never use anything else so long as he keeps making them.

I also use 'em for grubs and small swimbaits when fishing around cover as they seldom hangup and when they do I can almost always shake 'em free.  I've been tossing his jigs exclusively for over four years now and I'll bet I could count the number that I've lost on one hand.  I'll wear the paint off the heads and even lose the skirt (on the jigs) before I'll lose one to a break off.

And they ARE great for crappie as you can fish the heaviest of cover with lots of confidence.  On the recommendation of RPS I purchased some Finatic braid (10 lb.) early last year and I've come to really like the combination of Bo's heads and the Finatic line.

On most trips I'll give a couple of Bo's heads away to guys I get to talking to on the dock and everyone that's tried them has been amazed at how weedless they are.

And I wouldn't at all mind if Bo started making those crappie heads in 1/16 and 1/4 oz. either!
