I havent been vaccinated, probably won’t be for awhile. I haven’t stopped going anywhere, including restaurants. Still wear a mask until I sit down at the table.

I can understand that.  My daughter is going all over for work.  But I am old and in an extremely high risk group my physician says I would probably not survive Covid so I have been super careful trying not to become infected because I still have fish to catch.

We tried so hard not to get it. Then my wife bought a car. She thinks she got it from the Dealer then gave it to me.

It was pretty mild didn’t even get a fever. I had headaches and was short with my wife every so often.

I was just talking to my wife about this last night when we were ordering our take out.  We’ve only eaten at a sit down restaurant once during all this and it’ll  be nice to do that again once I get my second shot and it’s ran through me in about 6 weeks.

Is that food you eat from takeout safe? Do you know? Did those that prepped it wear a mask or 2? How do you know? Did the have gloves on, or wash their hand before cooking? You sure? How many people there touched your food, handled the food and container before you inhaled  it?  Risk taker are ya?

Not sure the intention of your post, but I’m pretty sure it was very on point to his comment. Nothing but crickets from him tho.

It's a respiratory virus.  Present knowledge is that there is no evidence you can get it from eating food, even food that has the virus on it.  That's NOT the reason restaurants are problematical, the reason is that you spend an hour or more in a restaurant without wearing a mask, among a lot of other people who are not wearing masks.  One study showed that whether someone gets it from somebody else in a restaurant is dependent upon the directional flow of the heat/ventilation system.  The first few months of the virus, when we knew little about it, it was believed it COULD be spread by being on food, but even then it was more touching the food, picking up the virus on your hands, and then putting your hands up to your face and breathing it in.
